You have here a thriller in the Boileau Narcejac style: the husband, the wife and the lover. The husband is a car racer, an excellent one, who lives mainly - if not only - for his passion, neglecting his beautiful wife. But he is upset by suspecting her having a lover.... Of course the late fifties French TV industry was very clumsy, compared to what it will be a decade later. But better than we could expect, though. This story takes place in the car races settings and atmosphere. I thought of Cornel Wilde's DEVIL'S HAIRPIN watching this short TV movie. I was lucky enough to purchase it. Good tragic ending, which brings the only criminal element.
