Lexa Doig, still kicking butt
cpotato101013 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, a lot of action in this episode.

Returning guest star Lexa Doig has a big part this week. Hoping there will be more. I have been a fan since she played Cowboy in TekWar.

Is there a female version of bromance? Sismance(TM)? Is that was is developing between Felicity and Laurel-2? Would not mind more of it.

For Curtis, a fun little outing, with a high-tech version of the gun in the car trunk from Breaking Bad.

The only quibble is that when they bring Oliver and Talia to the doctor's lab they are not restrained in the chairs. Not sure I would totally rely on those zappy wrist-bands to force good behavior.

And yes, here is hoping that next week, the week after at the latest, Oliver is freed from prison. Time to move on.

Prison Break: Arrow
highmarksreviews13 November 2018
Arrow bounced back from a slight slump in last week's episode, with "The Demon" serving as an adrenaline-fuelled chapter for Oliver's (Stephen Amell) Slabside level two ventures. The prison element continues to be a note-perfect aspect of the show. This week especially, with killer stunts with armoured corrections guards and a few creatively executed one-on-one fisticuffs. Oliver's past and future choices, along with his moral compass came to light this time around, being discussed in a very detailed manner, adding depth to his actions. As good as the slammer is at the moment, the other stories are a little off at the moment. Curtis's (Echo Kellum) ARGUS job isn't too great of an arc for his character, even if it does allow for some witty one-liners and tech-wizardry. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) also had their little tale to tell, as they investigated the very prison Oliver was staying in. That side-plot wasn't has entertaining as it could have been, but allowed for character-growth for all three in smaller ways. Arrow is on the right track, and has been since its opening. Streamlining the plot would help a lot, however the show has so many mysteries and cool action scenes right now, that those can be ignored to some degree. "The Demon" is yet another great chapter added to season seven.

Diaz still here
aengmahli27 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand the writer why this diaz guy is still active and not eliminated like darhk. He's character is stupid. He could be stopped by Oliver easily with an Arrow, but the writer think redemption get more views. What's the deal with the future William? quality dicreases since mid S06 imho.

The Demon
xarisgaras13 November 2018
To be honest I didn't expect that S7 will be that great without seeing Oliver as a green arrow. The show itself is about arrow and when they did it that way I got hyped. Very smart storyline and lots of good action. Arrow's redemption👌🏻👌🏻

Bang On!
dahlintontabe13 November 2018
CW is back in business with another "Bang on" episode of Arrow. The demon episode got me shaking in bed, muzzle to muzzle action sequence. 4587 & Al-Ghul vs the prison. Bang on!

Wonderful
abubakr_siddeeq14 November 2018
This is probably the best episode of this season. You'll act like you never seen the white person before. " I'm sorry my original review was just one lined but administration asked its too short and in the mean time I was listening 'slim shady' so typed it."

Decent with action but boring story.
cruise0121 June 2019
Arrow (7.05) (3.5 out of 5 stars).

Felicity learns about the truth about the prisons experiment with Oliver. Which she tries to shut the project down. Meanwhile, Oliver meets an unexpected ally in the underground prison.

The episode delivers some more brutal action fight sequences. Still a little less story. The sub plot with Diggle having Curtis go undercover was a bit boring.

Return Of Talia.
niharbadheka20 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The part ,The return of Talia was interesting and was great co-ordination between them to survive Level Two in prison. There are no Flashforward scene at all,But it was great that The return of Oliver's foe act as Cellmate in the level two,at the end She somehow managed to escape from prison and faces Dr.Parker outside the prison,She was in old look as The Demon's Head.that was great.i am excited to see How she has survived the Lian Yu after detonation of Bomb and where she lived in Gotham.I think it will connect the link To Elseworld.

Let's Get Him Out Already
ThomasDrufke13 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't disappointed with the whole "Demon" reveal. Because I was let down and surprised to see if turn out to be Talia. Not that this show made his/her reveal to be something significant, but we are conditioned in the Arrowverse to anticipate big character/plot reveals after so many years of guessing from week to week.

With that said, I didn't mind the Talia material tonight, in fact, I feel like they gave her more to do in this one episode with Oliver than anything that happened in season 5. But most of all, she helped progress Oliver to get one step closer to being released and escaping. As I think all of us hoped, he wasn't going to escape and remain a fugitive, he will eventually be let out of prison because of what Dr. Parker was doing to the inmates. And admittedly, the prison stuff has run it's course so even with it being the most interesting material on a week to week basis, it's probably time to move on.

I'm also not going to pretend to have been paying much attention during the ARGUS stuff with Dig and Curtis. The show hasn't given me much reason to care about whatever is going on there, and putting Curtis undercover was definitely not the right way to increase my interest. Come to think of it, neither has the storyline between Dinah, Felicity, and Laurel. Let's face it, we're just waiting for Oliver to get out and the real Green Arrow to return.

The part,Talia survive the the Blast on Lian Yu is interesting,In this Episode they work together to survive the level 2 as two mate as old time, this was absolutely fantastic. At the end The return of Anatoly, somehow he is captured by Ricardo Diaz and Longbow Hunters was not good part though but in this episode there are no flashforward at all.It Will be interesting if Return of Talia stay longer in this season.

Warning: Spoilers
Talia being the demon was kind of predictable, but it worked for me. Oliver was a badass in the episode. That fight scene with the prison guards was amazing. The Curtis stuff was alright and probably set up stuff later in the season, but I'm not a huge Curtis fan. Great episode though

Solid episode, but not a 10
Boris-Sh24 November 2018
Sorry, but I don't think this episode deserves a 10. It wasn't perfect. How can a woman be kept in a same cell block in prison with men? And not just regular prisoners, but the worst kind, the most dangerous, and a woman is roaming free among them? Come on... I love Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak when she is humorous, arrogant, has snappy lines or when she is nervous. But she is a terrible actress when she needs to portray sadness, anger or anxiety. Her facial expression doesn't change, her intonation becomes high pitched, but weird and unconvincing. And for some reason, this season they keep making her try to portray the emotions which she is bad at portraying them. I just don't like most of her appearances this season. Other than that, it was a good, action packed and dramatic episode, so I gave it an 8.

Best of S7
veksdave15 September 2021
Maybe slabside redemption has better reviews but this is a better episode, Talia is A LOT more interesting character than Diaz or darhk because she is not bad at all and one dialogue of hers can make you feel empathy for the character more than 30 minutes of any other villain, and the fight scenes feel less generic than other episodes.

Enough already
zaradoughty29 November 2018
Not sure why this new series is getting such high reviews. Frankly I am fed up with the whole prison thing and Arrow's constant beaten up pained expression, and what is the point of some other 'arrow' running around out there doing what the green arrow ( or whatever colour he is now) is suppose to be doing?? He IS SUPPOSE TO BE A SUPER HERO - REMEMBER but instead it seems any twit can wear a hood and carry an arrow and hey presto! they are better, stronger, faster than the green arrow and FREE for heavens sake instead of holed up in a prison apparently learning to like himself or some sh**e. Get a grip you writers and start producing something remotely like what we expect to see from DC Comics. As for Felicity I can no longer understand anything she says no matter how hard I try to keep up with the ridiculous speed and pitch of speech - what the hell is going on there? I've exhausted myself now and off to find some other rubbish to watch...
