What a waste of time...

El Chapo is just a 2nd rated series... Things should have been finished already in just one season. What they did is just keep adding unnecessary scenes and dragg the story line.

For this episode, they spent almost 2 full minutes just to see El Chapo shaves... seriously?

My best advice, just skip El Chapo and go for Narcos. Believe me, you won't ever want to come back for it again...

A different story from Narcos: Mexico

Warning: Spoilers
Different details are being shown here from the oversanitized story in Narcos:Mexico though the production values and the script writing is somewhat inferior. In the high dollar series, Narcos: Mexico, Chapo is kind of a comic figure and shown to be much more sympathetic for audiences. In reality, Chapo led a squad of killers for the Guadalajara cartel, called "Los Dormidos". He was feared by some pretty scary hard guys for his work of killing people and burying the bodies where they were unlikely to be found.

Narcos: Mexico had one short exchange between Chapo and Cochi Loco in which Cochi said, "We're just hitters. We aren't supposed to have ideas", or something similar. At least this series shows that Chapo had his own ideas from an early time, and he went after the implementation of his plans.

This series covers what NM ignored: the handling of Escobar's coke. Escobar was known to be unforgiving of mistakes, theft or plain incompetence, so Narcos: Mexico just pretended that only Cali dope was being moved. This series also reveals DEA corruption and doesn't tell the story from the DEA viewpoint. I got pretty tired of the "DEA as heroes" tone of Narcos: Mexico. The whole first season of Narcos: Mexico was dedicated to showing Kiki Camarena's (sanitized) story.

Despite the production failings and poor writing, this series is showing a more credible version of events.
