Episode 1.5

Things are far from cheery both for Faith and Steve Baldini.

Faith has had her house ransacked, owes money to the Glynns and now she has a visit from Gael Reardon who drops a package off.

Gael was the woman we saw in the flashbacks of the murder court scenes. Evan got her husband's killer off because of a fake alibi, both Evan and Gael knew this. Evan then negotiated between both families to set up a new deal.

Faith realises how deep Evan got himself in. She is finding solace from Steve who gets another beating from the Glynn's, a more savage one this time.

It really has gone grim for Faith, it is a wonder she has time to help out an elderly farmer who faces eviction despite having a life tenancy.

Another powerful episode.

With Faith trying to keep her personal life together, she's called in to deal with a disturbing case, where a man is being forced off his land. Faith is sidetracked for a lot of this episode, in dealing with the case of John Davies, the impact of his case is huge on her. Once again the acting is incredible, with Myles proving what a superb talent she is. Angeline Ball is fantastic as Gael Reardon, but the performances generally are superb. The story has gotten more intriguing, with the main question, is he alive or not?

Superb, 9/10

Should have been six episodes

Moving very slowly, and some needless plot lines. Losing interest quickly.
