Part one was solid, Part two was very good, Part three was scintillating, one of the most gripping, tense, deep things I've seen in ages, it's not often I watch something with a knot in my stomach the whole way through, but this episode actually had that effect. I've seen each adaptation, and thoroughly enjoyed, but don't remember the story having quite the impact that this did. The performances had been great in the opening two episodes, with specific characters shining through, this time though every single person shone through brilliantly. I've mentioned several actors, this time round I must pay credit to Riccardo Scamarcio and Sonya Cassidy, both given greater roles, and performing immaculately, The Foscos were nasty, manipulative and subtly terrifying. The whole production oozed class, and if the trailer for the penultimate episode is anything to go by, it's going to be superb.
Fabulous. 10/10
