Can I give it more than a ten?

This short film is flawless. It has a great important meaning behind it and the visuals and song is truly ahead of its time. What a classic by the greatest entertainer of all time. No one does it like him. He will be missed. He is the only artist that truly cared about mother nature and people less fortunate.

Ahead of his time

This is probably the only music video/song i can think of that is about human nature and saving the planet. Michael was ahead of his time. What a legend. A brilliant mind.

impressive

More than a great video or a beautiful song or impressive images, it is one of proofs about the splendid art of Michael Jackson. Not only as singer but as artist in profound sense. This work defines in the most profound manner the crisis, the menaces, the falls of the near reality. And it gives not only a warning but a large portrait of the chances to survive. And about the need to heal ourselves.

From the film perspective not necessarily a triumph, but the audio makes up for it

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have the music video for the Michael Jackson song "Earth Song" from 1995, so this one is over 20 years old already. Director is Nicholas Brandt who worked with MJ on other projects too as well as with other famous acts like Take That or Whitney Houston. But for this one here, it was okay I would say, one of MJ's songs that I like a bit more than most others. Actually, the music here is really catchy and has something elemental to it that fits the tune nicely. However, the music video becomes more and more disappointing the longer it runs during these seven minutes. The start is still okay, but from the environmental perspective that certainly plays a crucial role here, it is a bit shoddy. In addition, like many other MJ videos, it suffers from the fact that the singer is far more in the center of it all than he should be and takes attention away from the specific contents. This is especially tragic given the important subject here. So there aren't too much arguments you could make why one should watch the video instead of just listening to the record. Still the song is good enough for me to give the entire thing a thumbs-up. However, the nature shots just feel too random to be honest and 6 stars is all I can give it. Listen to this one.
