Well, everybody what was only vaguely alluded to in the past couple of episodes has now become everything we wanted it to be. This episode starts with Jack and Ashi in a crowded public transport place where they nervously try to grab the same pole. When they get too close to each other, they start sweating. A little after that, they look at each other awkwardly. I was thinking, "Make out already!" when this episode was going on. We see a talking walrus with Zoidberg's voice. Phil LaMarr and Billy West worked on "Futurama" so that was probably a deliberate reference. This website says it is at least!
The real action begins with Jack and Ashi finding their way into a prison with these poisonous leeches. Ashi gets bit by one and Jack has to get rid of the poison by sucking on her leg. I'm saying, "Make out already!". The prison has a monster called Lazarus which is actually a collection of these poisonous leeches forming one large creature or something like that. During the fight, the leeches attack Ashi's clothes and Jack sees her naked. Make out already! So they use this security system to kill Lazarus.
Then they make out.
Yep, they passionately kiss and after sixteen years since the show started, Jack has finally found the perfect girlfriend. I admit this romance was a bit forced, but I don't care. This show finally had romance in it and it was outright wonderful. It didn't take long for me to ship them and all of our dreams have finally come true. The sheer joy they show while making out is great. They even play a Dean Martin song that continues onto the credits! Folks, I have always been obsessed with romance my entire life and while some people are against this, it has been wonderful seeing this relationship become fruitful. ****
