One of the most amateurish, weakly speculative, and rambling 'documentaries' I have ever viewed. A complete waste of time for anyone sincerely interested in Poe.

I had honestly hoped it would be better, including solid information and trivia, possibly some worthwhile insight, but it comes across more as a watered down, slightly fatuous 9th grade book report. Included: a brief rundown of commonly known biographical facts; loosely (if at all) connective suggestions as to the author's inspiration and motivations, social associations, and literary legacy; and unsupported consideration of Poe's personal habits and health. A highly disappointing entry to anyone seeking enlightened exposition from an interesting perspective chronicling the life of a fascinating and tragic personality within the annals of great American literature.

I wish I could have said otherwise, but seriously, look elsewhere.
