Vegas, Baby (#2.16)
ComedyFan201010 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Kate and Toby have their bachelor parties in Vegas. Well done where we show different relationships. Toby becomes greater friend with them even though first Kevin and Randall didn't know that. Well done. And we also see that Deja is in trouble that gave a great ending of the episode.

A Lesser Episode...But
Hitchcoc19 April 2024
This seemed a contrived little piece. First of all, I find the whole Vegas experience tiresome. It's an excuse to let people act like children. The two simultaneous parties didn't seem like much fun. I didn't even know who those other men were. Since they didn't have speaking parts, they must have been paid a lot less. The two men wearing their ridiculous obsessions on their sleeves, Kevin with his assumption that he has lost his movie role and Randall with Deja. Of course, Kate gets into the act. I don't know. I have faith things will get back on track, but this one did nothing for me but dislike the whole gang. Oh, I am also really tired of Kate's clingy friend.

Feel-Good, Fun Episode Without Death and Tears. YAY!
beckymundy2 March 2018
This was such a welcome and refreshing episode for me (Definitely top 5!) Cute, happy flashbacks that were touchingly sweet and almost provoked happy tears. Flash forward and the present-day characters laughed and had fun! It was also great seeing them interact with people outside of the circle. The music was even more upbeat. This show wouldn't have been able to sustain itself being depressing and make people cry every week, and I am so glad to see that the writers can craft a wonderfully entertaining episode like this. Don't get me wrong, the realness and sap were still there, but weren't forced and overwhelming. I look forward to more episodes like this!

This series has now jumped the shark
mytrillium28 February 2018
After faithfully viewing each episode of what started out as ground-breaking drama, I am just about ready to throw in the towel. The tension - and curiosity - created by the long build-up to the mystery of Jack's death have been dissipated; the flashbacks no longer hold my interest. Please just let the man rest in peace...

I can see no practical purpose for the recent Vegas episode. Was it to bring the siblings and in-laws closer together? Reveal even more of their over-done, over-worked early lives? Give Randall something more to obsess about? Any compassion or interest that may have developed for all of the cast is rapidly waning... And I can't help wondering how a group of unemployed adults (Randall, Toby, Kate, Kevin) can afford such a lavish lifestyle....

This series is straying closer and closer to shark-infested waters...
