After a promising start, Helen and Paul are joined by a pathologist friend Phil who speculates why the body might had been partially burned to allow the bugs to get inside.
Helen is not popular in her hometown, she gets spat on and memories of the past are making her volatile especially with Paul. She confesses to past sexual abuse from a friend of her father's and how her friend Linda was also targeted. She also tells Paul of an affair she has been having which leaves him angry.
Doubts are also raised about the guilt of the accused, Stephen Bates. A young woman comes forward giving him an alibi. However the woman is also the granddaughter of Helen's abuser that pushes Helen over the edge a bit.
I did not know this story was just a two parter as the story got quickly wrapped up. The other abducted girl was discovered but I am rather wary how rapidly the real culprit was found out.
