The bad and unnatural acting
djeka-3845828 December 2017
Ok,Vuk Kostic is such pretty, handsome, real man,but for me he is bad actor. All of them, incliding serbian best actors are bad here.Only Stanic and Glogovac are still good here.for exp.Katarina Radivojevic is my favorite since I was kid,but here is unatural and amateur. Young Janketic is the best of all young actors. Story reminds me on,,The killing,,not the worst serial but not the best how people in Serbia get crazy about this show.Jelena, his true love,is pretty, boring and pathetic, but in ,,Montevideo,, she is realy briliant.

Solid start

Warning: Spoilers
This is first crime show in history of Serbian TV. Lack of experience is obvious but in general idea is good. There is space for improvements especially in depth of characters and their back stories and in speech authenticity. But plot is great! There is murders, conspiracy that goes all the way up, mysteries of the past, smart detective, corrupt government etc. In one of older users previews I read about corn leaf and tire trail that to some seam unrealistic. But that part was actually taken from real life homicide investigation of Serbian police. Killer was arrested because of trail in cornfield that he had left on one single lief. All I wanted with this small review is to tell everyone to give chance to this show. If nothing more, it is good start for Serbian crime genre.

Worth the watch

Warning: Spoilers
So I generally tend to avoid newer Serbian series even though I am Serbian but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The story has great potential that isn't fully explored probably because of some not so good actors. Some conversations between characters seem empty and without emotion. One scene where Marija talks about her past to Aleksandar was particularly cringe worthy and totally forced if you ask me. Older actors like Tihomir Stanic and Nebojsa Glogovac are really great, even though Glogovac doesn't have a lot to work with. The character Stanic plays definitely has more depth than Jovan (Glogovac) who is one dimensional. While it has faults, with the budget that it was given and the inexperience with crime series in our TV industry, I would recommend it because it's new and it could be great with a bit of effort.

Great series
vnjegomir5 February 2017
The series depicts the reality of interconectedness between top politicians and criminals. Everyone are connected. A lot of sexy scenes.

The story resembles reality, it has authenticated by real police officers. IT has a lot of mystic and keeps attention as the result of investigation is not known until the end and several possible solutions are on watchers mind.

Music is great and every episode makes you to think long after it has finished. All actors played fine, they brought emotion.

I feel it is in a rank of Holivood series with a much smaller budget.

For the available budget it is great. More effects and action could be there, but still it reminds to movies with Donald Saterland.

Fantastic series 9.5/10
kylebradley-6422127 January 2018
One of the best series that Serbian television has to offer. The crew of actors was quite well assembled, the lead role is of course Vuk Kostic, quite a decent actor, at first he may appear a bit static but in critical key moments within the series he will shine light on his acting performance followed by his depictions of true emotions.

The plot is well thought out, quite complicated yet a little revealing for the audience.

I strongly recommend this series to everyone!

Gets better with each episode and season
stjopex10 March 2021
I almost gave up after season 1 but then things started to become interesting. I was definitely hooked til the very end. The thing that bothered me the most was Aca's relationship with women in his life, it was too much of a soap opera for such a serious crime drama. Acting was another thing that didn't work out for me in the 1st season but the improvement afterwards was huge, along with the whole scenario. Oh, yes, i just love when Marjanovic flips out and starts yelling, reminds of my dad, sooo authentic. And what a memorable scene with the fantastic Boris Komnenic, god rest his soul, i had to rewind it couple of times.

Season #1 is best till now still... I gave here 10 stars out of 10 and only cos season #1
rock_and_branko2 August 2020
I'm writing this short review only to have a written statement that so far, of all four (4) season, only season one (1) is the true and the best one. BIG BIG BIG unfortunate, script & director, they completely lost track of season one (1) till rest on three of them, especially they destroyed season two (2). Any way they tried their best to do "kind of" continue stuff in third (3) and fourth (4) season, AND THEY HONESTLY did succeed to be from poor season two (2) to better trough season three (3) & four (4) in try of image heritage of season (1). So season four (4) is more watchable than the other two between season one (1) and four (4), if you watch it any way which is logical to go further do not even try to watch with high expectation. I gave here 10 stars out of 10 only and only cos season #1. Thank you if you are reading this.

Not great, not terrible!
kat_mne4 February 2024
Seson 1:

The plot is getting more interesting with each passing episode. However, something seems very unrealistic - I'm not sure if it's the dialogue, the acting, or the direction, but there's a discord somewhere. The romantic narrative involving Aleksandar and Jelena in the initial season feels completely implausible and forced, with her actions notably lacking in logic and narrative justification.

Natasa Ninkovic disappointed me. Despite being considered one of the greatest divas, her performance here feels artificial, unconvincing, over-affected and sometimes even hysterical. Nina Jankovic is stunning, but her acting is somewhat shallow. Aleksandar Filimonovic is quite unconvincing. Jelisaveta Orasanin is notably lacking depth in her acting skills. Andrea Rzanicanin simply doesn't know how to act - she is a disgrace to the profession. Milica Sipovac is stiff and lacks authenticity. Slavko Labovic "acting" is painful to watch - cringe! Miodrag Radonjic's lack of talent is almost comical. On the other hand, Vuk Kostic, who is often considered a mediocre actor, is not so bad. Perhaps because I didn't expect anything at all. He's not even the worst actor in the cast. Occasionally, he appears distant, almost robotic, but there are instances where he truly shines!

While I may not personally appreciate Mirjana Karanovic, she convincingly brings to life the character of a cold, unscrupulous, and ruthless police director. Tihomir Stanic is an acting veteran with flawless diction! Uliks Fehmiu is truly masterful in his portrayal. Elizabeta Djorevska is a good actress of the old-fashioned style. Aleksandar Djurica is a revelation for me - his acting is natural, authentic and unpretentious. Predrag Bijelac is very charismatic. Marko Janketic is among the better actors of the young generation - authentic, with a rich range of acting skills, and you simply trust him. Katarina Radivojevic is a good actress and I would love to see her on screen more often. Ivan Djordjevic is quite solid in his small role.

Season 2:

The second season is significantly less dynamic - the story unfolds at a slower pace, resulting in much less tension and excitement. There are moments when it becomes boring to watch.

Tihomir Arsic is absolutely brilliant. It's been a while since I last watched him and I am happy to see him back on screen! In the second season, Marko Janketic takes it to the next level - the character he portrays is fully vibrant, natural, and authentic. Despite my initial negative opinion about Milena Vasic, she pleasantly surprised me. This role suits her well. Slavko Stimac is very good. Natasa Ninkovic is much better in the second season - she has more to work with. In the first season, she was constantly playing drunk, intoxicated character. Uros Jovcic's portrayal of a young lawyer in a caricatural miniature role is excellent. Bojana Stefanovic manages to steal the spotlight in her brief appearance. She's truly an outstanding actress, and it's a shame she's not more present on screen. Radoslav Milenkovic is, as usual, absolutely brilliant in his brief appearance. Marko Gvero is incredibly charming in his minor role as a field cop. While I didn't have a particularly high opinion of Andrija Milosevic's acting skills, he does a good job in this role. Milos Petrovic Trojpec is a breath of fresh air, exuding authenticity and natural charm.

Vuk Kostic disappoints in the second season. His acting appears limited to embodying the "tough guy", but when it comes to emotional scenes, it becomes uncomfortable to watch. He is struggling to express emotions. Miodrag Radonjic is even worse than in the first season. He poorly delivers text lines with meaningless, dull facial expression. Mina Sovtic has an unusually enchanting face, but her speech and diction are terrible - not something one would expect from a professional actress. Isidora Simijonovic is beautiful, but she also struggles with speech articulation (not just in this role). It seems to be a common issue among many young Serbian actors.

Not so far from reality
psyche197918 September 2021
Great crime series. The saddest fact about this series is that it is not that far from reality. She even played on various TV channels. One series on one TV station, another on another. It was as if some invisible dust had risen around the series itself.

7/10 The grade for the Se1 is 9. It was something different and I liked it, even the acting of Vuk Kostic. But the following seasons threatened quality. I always had the impression that everyone just doing their job quickly. Pity, it could have been a good series to the end.

The worst acting
magasr31 December 2016
So the unnecessarily convoluted story is not what makes it bad. It could be improved, but considering other RTS TV series it is OK.

What makes it bad is the acting. It is just so terrible. It is catastrophically bad. I can't believe the lead actor even went to acting school, let alone that he was cast as the lead in a major TV series. He's just so wooden.

The casting of the entire series is unforgivable.

There are a couple of great performances by some seasoned actors that appear in the series, but all the young actors are terrible.

The lead actor is particularly bad. The actress who plays the forensic investigator is also very bad, along the lead's partner Mirko who is just a little bit better than the lead, but still very bad.

I googled those three actors they all seem to be children of important people in Serbian theater/cinema. Nepotism is the only thing that could explain the terrible casting. Either that or the casting director was blind and deaf.

Very good tv series
freemila28 December 2018
I was pleasantly surprised with a quality of this tv show. Nicely developed story, solid acting, filming and music score. Finally something that doesn't look like copy cat of the worst and sleaziest north american tv series! Amazing job!

Who did the casting for this show?!
masa_mus31 March 2021
Omg, the lead actor is terrible, I've seen amateurs acting better. No emotions, like he's just reading the script in his toilet. The rest of the crew is just as bad as he is, except Nebojsa Gologovac, who is great as always (although the script for his character is rather poor). The plot is interesting, the script is also good but the actors are killing the dialogues. I really can't understand how so many people on one show can act so bad, I am thinking maybe the fee wasn't good enough.

Realistic drama. Realistic review.
sacredspirit-228919 August 2022
Well directed, very interesting story. The plot and unfolding are like based on true events. The movie will inspire a lot of viewers to join the police force, but please be aware in the movie you don't see the real picture, for example how much paperwork is required for a tiny crime case and also the more important part - the average salary. Yes, all those dangerous, adrenalin high situations are real and intriguing but all comes to a disappointment when you get paid for what you do. Law enforcement in this very corrupted society is nearly impossible - Aleksandar shows it very precisely.

It was great in previous seasons
rbhkqn16 February 2022
Seasons 1-4 were great, but when 5th was released storyline changed with the new director. New season was great but the ending was so bad I don't want to watch it further. There's basically no ending like it stopped in the middle of a sentence.

I don't care who done it..
starimomak5 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The first Serbian "thriller/crime/who done it" series is here! I guess the guys at RTS (Radio and television of Serbia) wanted to make something that resembles shows like True Detective, The Bridge, The Killing and so on, but also wanted to make a very simple story which would appeal to wider masses. This is after all produced by national television, and they have failed in all aspects.

The lead detective is hopelessly played by Vuk Kostic who, since the movie "Mala nocna muzika", hasn't had a successful or a memorable movie role. All of the characters seem shallow or generic.

Nebojsa Glogovac, one of the greatest Serbian actors is playing a character so passive and boring that even he can't do anything with it.

There is so much stupid stuff about this show. There's this fancy bar where Vuks character meets the sexy forensic girl every time and they try to connect romantically but fail, but also he meets there a hobo played by Uliks Fehmiu who is like a mentor to our detective. What's a hobo doing sitting in a fancy bar?!

They find one leaf in the corn field that holds clues about the case, and that's only one leaf among a pile of them. Its worse then in CSI series.

Why does our detective live with his mother? Is it normal for a police detective to be a mamas boy?

Just because you put Slavko Labovic to play a bag guy it does not mean its going to make the show awesome.

The show is structured around scenes of people sitting down and talking, 90% of scenes are like this and they are all directed in the same boring manner. There is no tension, it sometimes feels like a talk show.

I'm sorry, I wanted to write a more academic text but I could not. The show is so bad.. I cant even write a good text about how bad it is.

Not so great for many reasons....
zoff486711 September 2020
First, why i don't like main character, Inspector Jakovljevic is arrogant, bad mannered, disobedient, quite selfish person with loads of social issues. Someone who supposed to deliver law and order very often breaking a rules in not really sympathetic way. It looks like his job is only excuse for personal revenge. Not amusing at all... If you want to make a changes in your corrupted society you definitely need a better person /character. All together average acting on all levels and lots of negative emotions in every single scene. After this i missing segnore inspectore Corrado Cattani even more.
