Spoilers. Observations. Opinions.
Samuel is greenlighted/greenlit for entrance into medical school. Maybe he is smarter (perhaps?) than goofy Dr. Hale. Ya think?
Dr. Hale's bestie Hastings slept with him (Hale), then he got a younger version. Next, Hastings slept with Brannen's idiot son, who later dies a coward's death in the war. Hastings is consoling Brannen, who acts like she really sees way more than she lets on. Is Hastings thinking of her former flame in that great Crimea? What would Miss Nightingale say?
Foster. Has a wife/ex-wife. Has the artist, a former flame. The artist is leaving, and asks Foster to spend the night. He turns her down. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Where is Nurse Mary? Foster is in like with her. So has she really been sent home after her illness? Has this actress quit the series? Is Nurse Mary pregnant with Dr. Foster's baby?
Hastings gets ticked because McBurney demoted her. Why? McBurney's BFF comes in with a messed up little toe, but later expires. Who to make this ultra brilliant diagnosis? Why, who else but little Einstein Dr. Hale, diviner of all truths.
Bullen is still an idiot. He is drunk, but expounds about the Lord over and over again. He runs up a big gambling debt. He steals the pocket watch of the deceased friend of McBurney, in order to pay toward the gambling debt, I guess.
McBurney is such a knucklehead. He is so droll, yet so nervous and quite possessive of his phrenology mannequin doll head. Such a worrier. He speaks straight to the point. I wonder what his secrets are. Maybe he got demoted to run this stupid hospital after one of his wild pranks went sour.
Pinkerton. The rug. The dead Yankee. What to do? What to do? Become good buddies with the British nobility, that's what. It passes the time. Mr. Green is constantly perplexed.
