A superficial approach to something potentially big in a small way
abhilashjammi9 May 2016
I actually enjoyed this film. It was different... A little over- indulgent for my regular cinematic taste, but a compelling narration told in a truly original way.

It is unique, a one off. Sure there have been films done in the past, But this is the film that I've watched where it feels incredibly real and in some ways coldly realistic. Some of the films ever made can only oddly be described as fascinating.

This is one of those films. One thing's for sure, you won't leave "vaitarni"with comparisons ready. More than likely, you won't want to think about it at all after it.

Brilliant but..

I watched this short flick during a premier for limited auditions, thrice in a row. First time - to experience the technical aspects. Second time - to understand the content. Third time - to see the audience response for this content.

Later, I shown this to my family and friends. I hear a mixed response for the content but applause for sound, DOP and screen- play.

Sound - This is the best of all the other departments. Ree (composer) lifted the scenes with his unique sound design. Loved it.

Direction - I don't know what is this narration called. But it's not Normal! This guy is diff. He has some unique ways of story telling.

Actors - All exposed for the first time but audience will never feel as if they are...

DOP - How difficult it is to shoot night.. this guy got steel balls to shot it all night ;)

Over all, though it's not my kinda flick, I like all the efforts by the entire team and the Director knew how to.
