The Nail Gun Massacre: Texas Frightmare Weekend 2006 (2014)

*** (out of 4)

This 17-minute featurette can be found on Code Red's Blu-ray edition of THE NAIL GUN MASSACRE and it was filmed, as the title gives away, at the 2006 Texas Frightmare Weekend where Joe Bob Briggs hosts a Q&A session with the film's director Terry Lofton and star Rocky Patterson. The director takes the majority of the speaking time as he talks about the budget, the special effects and of course the cult following that the film has gained over the years. He also goes into details about some of the distribution rights that were sold and he didn't see a penny of. Throughout the running time there's also a lot of talk about a sequel but we're nearly a decade past when this was filmed and of course it hasn't happened yet. Overall if you're a fan of the movie in question then you're going to enjoy hearing from Lofton who is of course a good sport about everything. He obviously gets a kick out of the fact that people still enjoy and watch the movie so that charm certainly comes across.
