It is the last episode of a TV series supposed to show the history of France during the reign of Louis XIV. And the episode ends with Louis de Rohan-Chabot, Duke of Rohan, seen abducting Louis, the Grand Dauphin of France.I am aware of the Science - Fiction genre. This episode must belong to a new genre i.e. Historical Fiction or Hi-Fi genre. What bugs me most is that I actually enjoyed the rest of the episodes of this series. But, in my book, a digression this size from historical facts tantamounts to heresy. Having said that, the series should be watched for its depiction of historical figures and the tactics employed by different religious clubs within Europe to attain power.

King Louis is in a bit of a pickle. Henriette has become seriously ill, it might be poison and she is the sister of the King of England. If she dies it might lead to accusations and risk any potential alliance with England. Also it will set Louis in a collision with Phillipe who did not want his wife to go to England for the negotiations.
As the doctor desperately tries to save Henriette, Louis shuts all access to Versailles as Fabien interrogates likely suspects.
Fabien thinks that the traitor is someone close to the King but too late figures out that it is someone who has access to the King's son and has privileges to leave Versailles.
The final episode was melancholy but it lacked the thrills that should grip the viewer. It was the final episode of series one but it left me rather disappointed.
