This French short film is enjoyable, and rather sweet. Yannick is a young, middle-age-ish sort of guy who works in an office. He comes home to his asthmatic mother, who lives below him. She cooks for him, and they watch movies together. A quiet existence where they take care of each other.
But maybe his asthmatic mother is actually suffocating him.
Yannick has a friend, Guilleume, at the office, with whom he plays an ongoing word association game.
While cleaning his apartment, his mother does a little snooping, and finds things that lead her to think her son might have more of a private life than she realized.
This nicely acted short tells its story in a mere 15 minutes. It's very nicely laid out, and I found myself rooting for Yannick.
All three actors do a very nice job, and the production quality is top notch.
A tidy little charmer of a film.
