Love these kinds of UK real life documentaries during my lunch break. Wish they made more. Made me want to go to Scarborough for the day haha

Warning: Spoilers
Channel 5 being Channel 5, they somehow appeal to bus or rail enthusiasts with notable programmes such as Paddington Station 24/7 or OTYB. Rather than a cheesy "I'm-a-presenter-so-I-must-know-everything-when-I-clearly-don't" type of content, the format is presented in a way that demonstrates the staff's deep knowledge about buses, especially for the (then) directing manager. The documentary is a fantastic portrayal of the front-line staff, the management and supervising team that help run the company in the fore and background, although they seem to be more active being in front of a camera! As at the time that I am writing, things have gone out of date. East Yorkshire is no longer a family-run company, having been sold to the Go-Ahead group in 2018, and many of the buses shown (a few step-entrance Volvo Olympians, for one) have since been withdrawn from service. But it is an interesting watch for those who have an interest or a passion for public service, operations, buses, or public transport as this showcases the many situations the company staff have to put up with.
