Lousy script, corny romance
lor_19 November 2020
One of Wicked Pictures' weakest romances, this poorly edited release smacks of amateurism. Gonzo director Corey Bishop strikes out again in storytelling land.

Even the casting is lousy, with a number of no-namers cluttering up the screen. The great Tory Lane (herself famous for wild gonzo appearances) has a character role and gets no credit.

Instead we have five couples interacting in soap-opera fashion, hobbled by dumb dialog. I found it impossible to empathize with any of their paper-thin characters.

Central story has hero Seth Gamble proposing marriage to Tory, but actually in love with his longtime friend Anna Morna. Morna and Seth will hook up eventually in the final reel, you betcha.

Bishop is a Black director, but here only employs Black talent in fleeting appearances as atmosphere extras in the background. He does have contract girl Kaylani Lei adding a touch of ethnicity in a cornball "friend with advice" role.
