  Stefan Salvatore : [realizes]  Damon's feeding on vampires.

  Caroline Forbes : No! Uh-uh! You are not turning Damon's roosting chicken into a Stefan Salvatore guilt trip. No one could have stopped him from going after Wes the other night.

  Caroline Forbes : Yeah, because she's compelling you!

  Matt Donovan : Caroline, I'm wearing vervain. She's not compelling me.

  Caroline Forbes : [tries compelling Matt]  Where have you been the last two days?

  Matt Donovan : I told you. She's not compelling me. We're having fun.

  Caroline Forbes : Fun? Just like the time she buried you alive! Whoo! Break out the champagne!

  Nadia : [to Matt:]  I thought you said she'd be cool with us hanging out.

  Caroline Forbes : And what the hell is that supposed to mean?

  Nadia : [as Matt stammers trying to intervene]  It means you've done nothing else but judge Matt since he walked through that door. When everyone else knows you're not exactly winning friends with your romantic choices.

  [Caroline is reminded of her indescretion and looks hurt] 

  Nadia : Isn't that true, Tyler?

  Tyler Lockwood : I don't wanna be a part of this.

  [leaves] 

• Nadia : [compelling Matt]  Forget everything you're not supposed to know. We partied, we slept together, then I left. Goodbye.

  Matt Donovan : Bye.

  [Nadia leaves, striding out purposefully] 

  Caroline Forbes : Going somewhere?

  Nadia : Actually, I am. And you're in my way.

  Caroline Forbes : Matt, are you okay?

  Matt Donovan : Yeah. What's going on in here?

  Caroline Forbes : You texted me from Nadia's phone.

  [but Matt only remembers good times that never even happened] 

  Caroline Forbes : So, you compelled him again.

  Nadia : [grabs Caroline by throat]  And they say blondes are dumb.

  Caroline Forbes : What are you doing to him? Tell me!

• Caroline Forbes : [entering]  Well, the only thing Matt remembers is that they slept together.

  [embarrassed giggle] 

  Tyler Lockwood : [regards his former girlfriend, sighs]  Well...

  [turns her back, starts leaving] 

  Tyler Lockwood : Care...

  [she turns back] 

  Tyler Lockwood : I never said "sorry.^ I was pissed, but... no excuses. Okay?

  Caroline Forbes : [nods, smiles]  Look, we can get past this together. Okay? I just want us to be... good again, you know?

  Tyler Lockwood : I said I was sorry. But I didn't say I was past it.

  Caroline Forbes : Of course. Obviously. I mean, Rome wasn't built in a day.

  Tyler Lockwood : [shakes his head]  How evolved do you think I am? You slept with Klaus. You slept with the guy who killed my Mom. What's a fair amount of time for me to get past that? A week? A month? Tell me, what sounds right to you?

  Caroline Forbes : Okay. You made your point.

  Tyler Lockwood : Look. I'm not trying to be a dick. But the idea of us being good... It's not gonna happen.

  Caroline Forbes : [nods]  Understood.

  [turns, leaves]

  Stefan Salvatore : Hey. When did you get in here?

  Caroline Forbes : Oh,

  [has glass of wine, clearly not her first] 

  Caroline Forbes : about one and a half of these ago. You were right. I brought this on myself. I knew the Klaus thing was gonna come with consequences. I guess I have to deal with it and... learn from my mistakes.

  Stefan Salvatore : Glad I could help. So did you find Matt?

  Caroline Forbes : Yes. And Tyler was right. Nadia's been compelling him to forget things.

  Stefan Salvatore : What do you mean, what kind of things?

  Caroline Forbes : Who knows? He tried to message me, but Nadia stopped him. "Help K," that's all I got.

  [Stefan looks at the text, smirks] 

  Caroline Forbes : So, you and Elena? What's the verdict?

  Stefan Salvatore : Uh, well...

  [sits down] 

  Stefan Salvatore : the verdict is...

  [sighs] 

  Stefan Salvatore : She's acting strange. She kissed me.

  Caroline Forbes : Excuse me?

  Stefan Salvatore : Yeah. My car broke down, so we got a hotel room so she could shower, and...

  Caroline Forbes : Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, you guys got a hotel room? With a shower?

  Stefan Salvatore : Yeah, but it wasn't my idea. I mean, I stopped it. I couldn't do that to Damon.

  Caroline Forbes : Yeah, but she could! I mean, I don't get it, she knows that this would destroy him. What is... what is she doing?

  Stefan Salvatore : That's what I mean. It's like she's... given up on Damon, and he thinks that... she was trying to get me to kill him tonight.

  Stefan Salvatore : Matt texted you "Help K" befkre Nadia stopped him.

  Stefan Salvatore : "K" as in Katherine. And when Katherine was dying, Nadia figured out a way to put Katherine's spirit inside Nadia's body.

  Caroline Forbes : Yeah, but that didn't happen, because Katherine had a change of heart.

  [shakes her head] 

  Caroline Forbes : No. No. You don't think that... It's... No. It's impossible that she... We would have noticed. It's Elena. We know her!

  [but realizes:] 

  Caroline Forbes : Oh, my God.

• Caroline Forbes : [he brought her a mug of coffee]  Thank you.

  [sips] 

  Caroline Forbes : Mm. It's good coffee.

  [he doesn't say anything] 

  Caroline Forbes : Although I usually take mine with a little more awkward silence.

  [chuckles] 

  Tyler Lockwood : Nice try. But you don't take anything... with silence.
