I understand this is a documentary series and so they cannot write a story for it but just tell what happened. With that understanding I think they could have selected the episodes better, assuming they improve, to start out stronger. I watch a lot of true crime and serial killer documentaries. The dating game killer I've seen very little of and the railroad killer I've never heard of before. The dating game killer is an odd case in based mostly off other documentaries he is connected to eight murders but could be responsible for raping and killing up to 160 people, because of the collection of photos found with his possessions. Some of the people in his photo collection have been identified and are alive, most have not been identified and do not match reported missing persons or unsolved murder cases so presumably they are still alive or died by natural or accidental causes. They found two people to speak. I understand some or most would not want to come forward to discuss their experience but why have the opening show one with more unknowns than facts. The second episode is about the railroad killer which I have never heard of before and the show is about the survivor. It's good to let the survivors speak and share their stories but if I don't understand the killer I won't truly understand the danger they survived. It is as if someone said I was in a car accident, there is a difference between someone tapped your rear bumper at 20 miles an hour vs someone t-boned you at 65 miles an hour. I am hoping later episodes do a better job at showing what risk there truly was to let the audience truly understand the risk they were at and survived because otherwise it feels incomplete.
