Warning: Spoilers
Neale's 250th, Pickett out for the Demons. As usual McInerney gets it first possession and just bangs it on his boot forward, not looking for a mid and it comes straight back out. Neal-Bullen kicks the opener for Melbourne, Hipwood replies. Daniher gets a 50-metre penalty to the goal-square, Fritsch replies from the set-shot. A lot of stoppages in the opening term and Rayner capitalizing with a career-high in clearances, Brisbane up 14 at quarter-time. The Lions extend the lead in the 2nd, the congestion really restricting Melbourne's ball movement and they're dropping marks to boot... goalless for the term, the margin 30 at the half. Chandler goals on the angle to start the 3rd, but it continues to be all Brisbane thereafter. Cameron with the steal and goal, the Lions take a commanding 43-point lead into 3-quarter time. The Dees put some late score on the board to lessen the thumping. Melbourne dominated the hit-outs, the Lions +9 in the clearances, with much more of footy and 29 more tackles applied. Brisbane with 8 more inside 50's, for 2 more scoring shots and had better conversion. Rayner best afield, with 25 disposals, 9 clearances, 10 inside 50's and 2 assists. Andrews 14 disposals, 13 effective, 3 contested marks and 8 intercepts. Answerth 19 disposals, 7 tackles and 7 intercepts. Cameron 17 disposals, 5 inside 50's and 3 goals. For Melbourne, Gawn 23 disposals, 51 hit-outs, 8 clearances, 5 tackles and a goal.

3. (Bris) C. Rayner, 2. (Bris) H. Andrews, 1. (Bris) N. Answerth.
