Felt Everything

I wasn't prepared to feel emotional throughout watching this film, but it was amazing to me because you think you're alone with those kind of thoughts and mental health but you're actually not. Watching this reminded me that there's so much more out there that I need to live for, to stay for. I felt the emotions in each scene, each lighting that was used and how it was used. Really speaks to you if you relate a lot. I just gotta say amazing. Thank you for making this film, relatable yet inspiring! They really know how to tell and story and make you feel it with their angles and point of views, love it.

As beautiful and well written as the stars

Warning: Spoilers
I'm crying as I'm writing this. This short film needs to be seen by anyone who have ever felt alone, anyone who has felt that they don't belong on this earth. Augusts pain and the love he shows to others despite it, is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking. The love Sophie and Frankie have for August, despite his struggles sets an amazing example for the way we should treat those who are struggling. Finding joy and childlike innocence until his last moments, August makes his mark on the world and in the stars.

And to Israel, thank you for sharing your incredible talent, and for showing us that some astronauts are meant to stay on earth.

Emotionally spectacular

I am so blown away by everything in this short film. I had been recommended by a few friends to watch this and so I finally gave it a try. I'm not one to watch short films but this one just blew me away! It brought forth the tears and emotions out of me and it brings out the sensitive topic of mental health within Hispanic communities that should be talked about more often. I cannot think of any film that I have been able to so closely relate such as this one. It brings out the raw frustrations of dealing with parents who struggled to handle unconditional love and mental health issues. Highly recommend everyone to watch this film especially those who grew up in a Hispanic household.

Outstanding

I've been waiting for this film to release ever since I saw the trailer. This film brought me to TEARS. Being a younger sister myself, this movie hit close to home. I really liked how in such little time this captured every emotion. From sadness, to loneliness, to confusion, and to happiness I felt everything. I appreciated the way the film captured to essence of feeling lost. The lighting, the setting, and the outfits really told you what that character felt. Not only was the film work amazing, all of the noise and sounds were great too. I have so much to say but wouldn't want to ruin the plot. All I can say is thank you for making this. This feeling you portrayed is felt by a lot more people than we think, and you creating this project with your sister was astonishing.

Heart-Tugging

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. I saw the trailer for this film on TikTok and thought I'd check it out. I did not expect to bawl my eyes out but here we are. This film is heart tugging and there is a lot within the film to relate to. I find myself in similar mental situations at times and also have siblings looking up to me. To see pieces of what I am undergoing through Israel's lenses is heartbreaking to say the least. The way his sister is depicted in the end years later was an awesome addition to his film because it shuffles the viewers to the future and left space to imagine what she is going through now living in the same conditions he did but without him there to hold her hand. Israel truly made something beautiful out of an invisible, yet deadly struggle that many are not taken seriously for. Keep it up!! I am cheering you on Israel!!

Wow

Absolutely painfully beautiful. This short film captivates such a personal story while also being relatable to people who resonate with the main character. I cried and I cried and then the ending really stabbed me in the heart. As a fellow creator I am beyond inspired by my little astronaut. The scoring is so well done and truly hones in on adding to the emotion of the story. I felt seen, I felt the pain, I felt every single word and I am so impressed with this short film, I've been waiting to watch it and am so happy I finally got to. Every award is much deserved and I can't wait to see more from Israel's mind.
