Rocky start but there's potential

Positives:

• Edna, Athena, Valenciaga and Susan were the standouts for me, with Edna being such a captivating presence and the clear narrator for me.

• Rita is very comfortable in her role as hostess and I'm so glad she was given this opportunity, love that she's representing us Québécois over the pond!

• The talent show (though hit and miss) had at least variety, which is more than I can say for the Americans.

Negatives:

• bad lip synch, should have been double sashay.

• meh runway, nothing blew me away, especially if the prompt was to represent Belgian colours.

• weird top/bottom placements, Mocca shouldn't have been in the bottom, and Valenciaga should have been in the top.

Hoping for this season to be on the same level as France, we shall see.

It wasn't anything special and it wasn't anything too too bad either. The cast seems interesting, Rita Baga did an okay and the judges seem fun. The talent show was pretty good, a lot of unique performances and it showed that these queens are ready to serve it this season (hopefully!). The only thing that really bothered me was how many confessional were there during the talent show so the editing was a bit sloppy on that account. And I hope they will serve better lipsyncs this season than they did in this very first episode. All in all a decent start, it's up there for me with DR France, but not quite the vibe of DR Spain yet. Finger crossed!
