After last week's slow episode, the season picks up!

Warning: Spoilers
Things are finally getting interesting. This is by far the best episode of the season so far. Episodes 1 and 2 were good, but this one was amazing. I'm not even gonna discuss the first half of the episode because the climax is so incredible.

The confrontation at the end was one of the intense moments in the whole series, and that's saying a lot. Even though I knew thorfinn and einar couldn't possibly die here, my heart was still beating so fast. Although einar's fight with the master's son was great, thorfinn steals this episode. Ironically, even though he stands still the whole time, I think this scene is thorfinn at his most powerful. Not only powerful physically, since he's able to withstand dozens and dozens of cuts, even his ear and face, but he's also incredibly powerful mentally. We finally see the consequences of all the pain and suffering he went through during season 1. Now, he truly has nothing to lose. He wasn't bluffing, he legitimately didn't care if he died right there. And that is scary. I cannot wait to see thorfinn in action this season because he is going to be unstoppable.

Thankfully, their master stops the "fight" before fox can cut thorfinn's eye out. It's not like thorfinn would've cared haha, but I'm still glad he can still see. The master punching fox at the end was so satisfying! He's a great villain though. I loved how cold and uncaring fox's monologue was, about how even though the slaves didn't do anything wrong, he can still decide what to do with their lives. He deserved that punch sooo bad after that speech. Overall, this is the first amazing episode of the season. 9/10, can't wait to see this season become a masterpiece.

Powerfull moment!

What a great episode! This was a step up from the last episode as we dive deeper into Thorfinns character, as well as the culture! This episode offers so many layers! Small scenes and moments with a deeper meaning and greater importance! The attention to details is what makes it rewarding to watch!

This episode shows us more of what is going on inside Thorfinns head! He is not the same person as we knew him in season 1! All the events and all he has been through has left a mental scar on him and we really see how much pain he is in, mentally!

This season is shaping up to be great, spending time on character development and story!

Best episode so far!

Vinland Saga's first exceptional episode of the season is entertaining and contributing perfectly to the main plot. The character of Snake is introduced in a way I loved. Thorfinn is just badass and Einar is screaming and crying because he is weak. I think Thorfinn really steals the show in this episode. Without spoiler this episode shows us the new side of him. The open end of this episode shows that the next will just go on where this one stopped and I think it will be great again. Mappa really knows how to keep the audience interested for several weeks without losing quality and therefore earned my respect!

My favourite episode so far this season

I really have enjoyed the season of Vinland Saga so far, but this episode was just on another level in terms of quality.

Episode 3 was a great adaptation of manga material, taking panels from the manga and blending them to the MAPPA style with perfection artistically. I found myself very immersed in the plot like the past 2 episodes, but the pacing was just right once more, as there was less (if any) farming this episode and more action and drama in the plot.

Thorfinn gets his biggest role in the plot since S1 here, feeling like the main focal point of the show once more, and the ideas he shares in this episode were philosophically profound and interesting.

Overall, a great episode to watch.

Things are heating up

I like the slow buildup of this season. Not many anime dare to play around with the pace of the story like the beginning of Vinland Saga's second season.

I also like that, in reality, this slow buildup does not waste our time on pointless filler and gradually lets us explore the current situation regarding Thorfinn's complicated mental state. The third episode gives us even more details and ends on a very exciting cliffhanger. It also slowly develops other characters that live on this farm, which will surely play a major role in the upcoming events. I can definitely tell that every plot element of this season is carefully planned beforehand and that really excites me.
