There's a lot to appreciate in this shooting and fighting arcade game such as the use of cut-scenes to tell the story using movie images, the first-person shooter sequences to mix things up, and smooth game play. Excellent graphics. Boss fights were worthwhile, not insanely difficult. Nice to have an ending which gives a sense of resolution.
On the critique side, the game is a bit 'too familiar', some more innovations would've been appreciated. No crouch ability makes a lot of this awkward since the enemies tended to crouch often, so you had to basically wait for them to pop up to get a hit on the bad guys. Soundtrack was a chaotic mess, a lot of looping noise to try to drum up excitement.
I'd like to try this two player sometime, I'm sure it'll be twice as fun.
