I only watched about two minutes of this, so the one-star-rating is probably very harsh. Nonetheless, any film claiming to be "fan-made" which gets two major facts wrong in as many minutes probably doesn't deserve being watched anyway.
First contact was made in 2525, not 2552, and the war began on Harvest, not Reach.
These are not tiny, trivial details within the Halo universe. They are major plot details. If the war had begun in 2552, then humanity has lost something like 90% of its territory and 80% of its military in a few days.
If you're going to make a fan-made film, get it right. Simples.
