Danish Underground
DarkSpotOn27 April 2023
Basic plot: Two guys that i assume hate God, go out of their way to torture and butcher women. This movie is clearly inspired by dozen of films: August Underground, Guinea Pig, Slaughter Vomit Dolls, and Snuff 102, and honestly, I'm not really a big fan of either of those 3 films that i have just listed, and i have seen, except Guinea Pig.

Positives:
  • The tone: This movie makes a really sinister tone of what it's trying to depict. You can tell that it is just a pitch-black movie.

  • Effects: Effects wise this movie isn't that bad. Sure it's not amazing, but it's not that bad either.

  • The silence. The fact that there's no music and it's just this weird background sound makes everything darker.

  • There's a hot scene of women kissing.

Negatives:
  • Lack of plot. There's really no character development or reason to care about any of our characters.

  • The Voice-Changers. That really destroyed a movie that could have been sort of kinda okay. These two guys sound like demons-robots, and it really kills the movie.

  • Picture quality; everything is in black and white, and sometimes it's kinda hard to tell what is going on.

Personally, if you want a decent Snuff movie; hunt down Guinea Pig, Grotesque, The Butcher, & Her Name Was Torment.

Another Horrible August Underground Rip Off!!
perfectx-714153 October 2022
Kasper Juhl seemed to have a hard on for trying to imitate August Underground when he first started because this and his movie "Monstrosity" are completely bargain bin imitations. It hard to see anything going in this movie, between it being shot in black and white and the lighting being awful! Everything here is done so cheaply and poorly filmed. The acting is so annoying. The killers (which one happens to be Juhl himself) are just super irritating. The filters they put on the voice is just grating. Why even put the filters in the first place? It's not like they hide their identities. And FX are also horrible. Mostly just fake looking blood and cheap props. Hell the one scene with the pregnant women took the cake for goofy fake props because when they cut the baby out you can obviously tell it was a plastic baby. And even with the loud metal music playing as he threw the baby you could still hear the plastic thud on the ground. Easily the best scene in the whole movie! Gave me a chuckle. Besides that what is there to really say. The movies terrible! Even and it's short length it's annoyingly too long. I hope Juhl never makes another film like this again because he's proven with "A God Without A Universe" and "Moonfire" that he has the potential to make some good movies. So unless you wanna laugh at the plastic baby then just avoid this one.
