Production values are very high for a TV series. Choosing the playback setting for French audio with English subtitles give a much better translation of the dialog than choosing the English dubbed version, IMO.
The opening scenes are relatable for me because my wife and I had an almost identical conversation on the morning after our daughter's first time of sleeping through the night. The line from Ludo in response to Melanie's line of "what if she's not breathing?" was so typical of a homicide detective: "Anyway, the medical examiner won't come out before 9" and it was pretty witty.
The lines that set the period in time were also relatable: "Run, Forrest", which in those days was widely used by people who had seen "Forrest Gump". I remember saying that one myself back then.
