This fills in a solid part of Gibb's background, and repairs his relationship with his father.
As to the reviewer who didn't know if they were submitting in trivia or goofs and therefore did neither: Their problem was with the title of the Medal of Honor.
(From Wikipedia) "The medal is normally awarded by the President of the United States, but as it is presented "in the name of the United States Congress", it is often referred to as the "Congressional Medal of Honor"."

Not very good!

Warning: Spoilers
"The Namesake" is an episode with a rather good premise, sadly the episode isn't very good. It's not bad, but falls quite short at the end of the day.
Let's start with the good.
. The production values of the episode are great. The direction's fine, the music fits the scenery and the acting's good.
. It's always nice to get some backstory to Gibbs, there are moments with Gibbs, which are poignant. Some jokes hit home and did like the examination of racism.
But...
. The mystery is quite weak here. The story suffers from having very few characters, twists and taking things way too slow. The identity of the killer is not that hard to figure out. Not all jokes hit, some of them feel rather off and leave to wonder what the laugh was really about. The dialogue can come off melodramatic at times.
Overall, not that good.
5/10 HK.
