A combination of old and new
studioAT30 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode combines lots of the 'new S2 elements' (Aiden, Amanda's Mum) with the perhaps more 'classic' elements we came to expect in S1.

It just about works, though it's a shame to see Emily pushing Nolan away a bit.

The Declan subplot looks like it's leading somewhere, but the real fun of this episode is Emily back on plotting mode.

big tangled mess, I'm just watching for Charlotte
Some very good ideas in the series as a whole, but the flow of the episodes... Undisciplined storytelling. One big convoluted mess. Why would these people stay together? I'm just glad Christa B. Allen is there to provide some interest for me. Learned that some people complain about her degenerating character further on in the series, well, don't know about that stuff yet, at least for now she is like a breath of fresh air when she appears.

Frank, Taylor, the white-haired Gordon Murphy, every three, four, five episodes they dump a baddie as an actor's lease runs out? They should have stayed with Frank. That character worked, the others just didn't.

Aw, they shouldn't have had that balding Asian thug in the story, he just doesn't fit in. This new bloke Aiden too, he is a late addition, a contrived character. Imagine, how can you watch Season One again knowing Emily has a selective memory? She didn't care about Mom then either, but now it's all about Mom. Jennifer Jason Leigh is a fine addition to the cast, but the character was barely mentioned in Season One.

Too many twists and turns and this tiger ends up gnawing at its own tale... (get it?)
