It is just so hard to root for or want Sylvie to win in any of these exchanges. I am not sure if this is by design or there is a language barrier, but her character is just so offputting. They are trying to write Madeline as the more intrusive and obnoxious boss and while she has some character flaws, I just do not see it that way.
I do like the emphasis on marketing in each episode that this show gives us though. A lot of television programs just use the profession as a backdrop to give us nonsensical storylines, but what these individuals do always has some impact on the issues of that episode, which I appreciate.
