Warning: Spoilers
TL;DR version: HOLY CRUD WATCH THIS SHOW, ALL SIX, JUST DO IT Okay, so I'm not a web series kinda guy, so even though I am a nerd I didn't really want to watch this show when my friend strong-armed me into doing it. There's a lot of people who haven't seen it, and some who have decided they haven't liked it, so I thought I'd help these guys out and write this thing for them. It's basically what I thought as my friend sat me down, loaded a bowl, gave me a snack and forced me to watch two hours of the show. This is basically my experience watching the show.

Episode 1: This was all right. I laughed more than I thought I would. The show looks okay, but there's something weird about the main character's look, and there are some minor problems here and there. My friend tells me basically it's a pilot and so it gets better, and I say okay and trust her that it will. The jokes about Star Trek are funny, although I think I missed a joke or two. The boss appearing at the end was pretty hilarious, and I like the main character's friend Wyatt a lot, there's something interesting about him. The old man in the cave was very, very funny, but it's a shame they didn't really talk.

Episode 2: Wow, okay. So that was pretty good. A LOT better than the pilot okay. Glitch now has short hair and a bit of a beard and actually looks like someone the cute chick in the first episode might like. There's one thing I don't understand about the episode, and that is the sudden cut to Wyatt like, training to become a warrior or something in China. It went on a long time. I mean it was funny, but he stopped water with his mind, it's odd to do as one long joke. I mean I get it, he's a bad ass zen nerd, but yeah. Everything else, though, is freaking hilarious. The old man is back but as Oak from Pokemon, and now I get why they did what they did in the pilot. The stuff they did with the really big nerd, Neville, is very very funny, and I like that even in a short show there's a twist. The stuff with the douche-bag is absolutely killer, ABSOLUTELY killer. And "Vulcan up" should be a thing you say. So okay, still isn't my favorite thing in the history of all time or anything, but I really liked it, and I'll let my friend keep showing me.

Episode 3: HAhahahahaha. Lol, okay, I like this show. Again there's this weird moment (Wyatt like beat people up? dafuq? that seems out of character) but everything else was really funny. Finding the coins and getting some crappy shirt was a funny twist like thing. Samus was in top form, she has some great moments. "Don't you quote episode 1 to me! never don't do it!" was very funny. It was like this whole madcap adventure of them failing, like a heist show that never really went anywhere. Reminded me of a nice always sunny.

Episode 4: Holy sh*t, guys, you gotta watch this show. That was the funniest thing. It's an episode about giving up video games and things get CRAZY. Best acting I've seen yet from Glitch. The old man showing up in all three episodes (who was he in 3) so far was made REALLY funny by hiding in Glitch's bathroom as the wise dude from Kill Bill. The references in this show are really great. The music in this episode in particular I love, cause it's serious and bad ass but makes me laugh every time I hear it. The montage of them going insane is hilarious and so is basically everything in it. It's tight just a little dark and you have to already like these characters but after that everything is great. Excited now, to actually watch the next one.

Episode 5: My jaw is on the floor. This was like a full scale parody episode that takes place in a mirror universe and riffs on Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, I think Deadwood, the Matrix, Zelda, and more. It's the craziest episode of them all and astoundingly good. It's maybe the simplest plot out of all of them but deep funny stuff is everywhere. I'm not even gonna say anymore, you gotta watch this show.

Episode 6: Okay, so I thought this show was good, but now it's genius. The stuff I didn't get about Wyatt is completely answered. They have long form jokes in this, and it's a payoff. Maybe they could do it better as they get more episodes under their belt but only a little bit, and if I'd trusted them from the beginning it would have been awesome, so next time they go to make something I'm just gonna sit back and laugh. This episode almost teared me up, it's really funny but also pretty touching, and the old man in it is Obi-Wan (and then ghost obi wan, ah aha). Now that I've seen this episode, I've gone back and watched them all again, and it's Even funnier.

Okay, this show REALLY IS for nerds by nerds about nerds with nerds all of it. But it's really well done, the girls and guys that did this show could probably make anything well. I think it's funny even without all the references - this show is like I don't know the Muppet or something, where if you get all the references and little jokes, more power to you, but you don't need them to enjoy the show.I will donate to a campaign, I will like get out and evangelize, I f*cking love this show, and I want to see more of it.

Watch Glitch!

If you grew up and/or identify with the video game generation or consider yourself nerdy, I think you'll dig this series.

If you enjoyed the gaming references like those throughout Ernest Cline's 'Ready Player One', I think you'll dig this series.

If you like shows that pay homage to Star Trek, the Matrix, Firefly, Star Wars, and practically a gazillion other films, I think you'll dig this series.

There is a bit of a story arc to the first season, but most of the episodes are fairly stand-alone. In addition to the six-episode first season they also have Bonus Life episodes which, most of which hit their marks.

And if you do enjoy, please share! At some point they will likely try to crowdfund a second season. The more people know about it and like it, the more likely it'll be made.

Glitch hits the nerd-nostalgia sweet spot

Web-series are a new thing and there's a lot of stumbling around you know? But this is one of my favorite shows of all time even including regular TV. I don't even know if I can explain why exactly, but I love it. It's super geeky and at first seems nothing but reference after reference, but the story is really tight, the dialog is fun and witty, and the actors are all very good. You have to watch all six episodes I think to get why it's really as good as it is, but trust me it's worth it. I wholeheartedly recommend this show to anyone who likes video games, the 80s, reference- fests, or just good comedies. I have show it to my non-geek friends and even they love it and they miss like half the jokes! I hope this team keeps making stuff, and really goes somewhere.

Glitch is a video game tester who makes a wish that his life was more like a video game. But what happens instead is his life becomes prone to glitches. He is guided by "the old man" who appears as a different archetype in each episode, and he's a terrible guide. His friends are Samus and Wyatt, who don't know what's going on with Glitch but love him anyway. Samus is Samantha's nickname, and she's a girl but a real nerd. And Wyatt is like this zen guy, but also a huge geek. They're kind of this little trinity and it's really fun to watch them interact with each other. The supporting cast is also stellar and really shine at various moments.

Each episode is like 15-20 minutes, so they're full length, which I prefer in web series, not the like 5 minute thing. Cause the thing is, each episode is it's own story completely, like there's a different theme to each of the six (the pilot is just a pilot, but the rest are all wild and different from each other). But when you see them all at once, it's also a really good story. It's how TV should work.

It's a web-series, low budget and I think a first-time thing, so it has some flaws, but overall I love it, and I think even the flaws have their charms, haha. If you have the time, I recommend anyone reading this review actually make the commit to watch all six episodes, I swear you'll really feel rewarded if you do. I know it's lame to rate something a 10, but I did because this really hits the spot for me, and should be what web-series aspire to be, you know?

Good job you guys, and keep up the good work. I'd love to see more, both of Glitch and anything else you do!
