...if you like mindless reality television and like to watch tattooing more than getting them yourself. I'm a big tattoo enthusiast myself, and I was intrigued by the premise of this Joey Tattoo guy going in and fixing shops (sort of in the vein of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares). I'm no purist, and I think tattoos should be available to all adults who are interested. It is no longer a niche market and tattoos have become quite mainstream. But this Joey Tattoo? Yeah.. not sure if he's looking to franchise tattoo shops or make them fit in a certain corporate mould so he can buy them out later and market them to soccer moms.

Tattoo shops should be/have 1. clean 2. strong artists 3. a market hook (portraits, biomechanical, classic, etc). Most people become artists because they enjoy tattoos, and I'm not sure that the cookie cutter blueprint Joey uses is the best for the industry. For revenue, yes. But not for the industry.

Judge for yourself, though. It's entertaining enough if you ignore the lame voice over, Jerseyness of the main cast, and try not to think too hard about the fact that it's so utterly contrived you want to tear your own face off.
