Warning: Spoilers
I knew everybody was going to comment on the begining... come on.. so many armed men and nobody shoots at the chopper coming from a mile away lol.. could not shoot the prisoner because he was holding the sheriff .. ok.. but the helicopter was just stationary.. it was easy to hit.. and then dude drops the sheriff ... no way the guy in the helicopter would be able to cover against som many guys on the ground..

we also had hondo's ex getting salty about him moving on.. mentioned something he said years ago about not wanting a baby.. wow, talking about women getting rejected.. she needed to brought up something the guy said years ago to try to break his relationship up...

women.

Beginning Completely Unbelievable!!!

Warning: Spoilers
The way the episode started completely ruined the episode for me! They seriously call themselves S. W. A. T.??? The writers must think they write for the CW audience! I counted at least 4 Sheriff's and 2 SWAT members, and they couldn't take out 1 armed gunman on a stationary helicopter? I understand the prisoner had to escape for the episode to continue, but come on! Make it semi-realistic please!!! Maybe I'm just too old for this fictional show! I'll finish watching it nevertheless because I do enjoy the series and characters. The new female team member seems like a good replacement for Chris!

Predictable

Warning: Spoilers
Too predictable, the prisoner escape was completely obvious from the very start. Also, why do they never ever shoot at the helicopter?

TV shows and movies always make it look very different as if helicopters are indestructible, but in truth it is very easy to disable one, damage the blades and it's going nowhere. Same as supposed trained SWAT officer's terrible marksmanship, totally unrealistic.

The whole former love interest line for Hondo was irrelevant and added nothing to the episode, there's way too much of this rubbish used as filler in this type of show. Writers need to stick to realistic action and plausible storylines.

Warning: Spoilers
They have given up even trying to make the plot make sense. It's just the vehicle to get you to the next shoot-out or car chase with the least possible amount of thinking. Indeed, if you think about it, you just end up asking yourself "why would anyone do that?" It's basically lazy. But I guess it's also an admission that they're only interested in a audience that's watching it for the gunfights and car chases. Except. The gunfight fans are up in arms about how stupid the opening scene is, where no-one shoots at the un-armoured helicopter, because it would've been easy to damage either the aircraft or it's occupants and that'd be the end of the ep. So... who knows.
