Matthew and Alison take Robbie into their home, Matthew is quick to realise that their guest has lived a very different, empty life.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, super harsh and gritty, a truly tense watch, this bubbles away, hopefully leading to a dramatic finale. Lots of content to enjoy, some very tense moments, a really deep, interesting character story.
Best scene here had to be the moment where Alison and Robbie clashed over Robbie's homophobia, she puts the argument over sensibly, how or why does anything affect these people to such a degree, very well acted from both. It served as a chilling reminder of how easily youngsters can be influenced by their peers.
Robbie is so interesting, one of the major strengths about this show, has been its harsh realness, at no point has it felt sentimental, Robbie hadn't undergone a whole overnight personality transplant, has still remarkably ignorant.
How absolutely marvellous to see Brendan O'Carroll doing a serious drama, I adore him, I say serious role, it was as if this tense, gritty, hard hitting drama switched over to Mrs Brown's Boys for a moment, it lightened the tone in a good way.
