Possibly the first feature length documentary to be shot on an iPhone, this film avoids the hokey exploitation and fakery of TV shows and favours an "it could be true/it might not" approach, despite the few events seeming very real indeed. Basically a film about a British haunted house, "Personal Ghosts" includes interviews with owners, people who've stayed, as well as an overnight stay by the director (who takes the scientific open-minded approach to the subject). The lack of budget works for the subject matter and style of filmmaking. The filmmaker encounters two spirits (not seen, but they make things move). The story of the little girl Lucy is particularly sad. Well made and definitely worth a watch.
