NOTE: This review was written before I reviewed 'Chip's Sleepaway T-shirt'.
This is indeed a fun episode! The Fun Day was... should I even finish that sentence? At least up until Chip and Nico were ordered to get the cleaning supplies from the storage cupboard, which is actually the piano practice room by the way.
At the gym where the trampolines are, Chip goes in to jump on them without grown-ups watching, which is against the rules, to attempt a move she couldn't do on it before. As a result, Chip hurt herself and, breaking the rules, got her and Nico in trouble. Even though Nico didn't bounce on the trampolines, he still got busted for going into the gym with Chip instead of the "storage cupboard". It sounded like Nico wasn't involved when he got in trouble, but he was because he pushed Chip up so she could use the trampoline. So although that didn't matter anyway, I thought that could've been addressed. But that's not my big problem.
My big problem is that in 'Chip's Sleepaway T-shirt', Chip says she makes bad choices when she's with Howie and makes better choices when she's with Nico, and yet she still makes bad choices even with him. I'd be at least a little more forgiving if she said that last season, but that was said on the same season this aired. A few episodes ago in fact. And I'm not going by Netflix's seasonal formula. So that really hurts the episode.
Everything else about the episode was good. The fun events, the trampoline rules, and how the discipline was played out. It still gets a passing grade, but be careful when you have Chip make a statement like that.
Oh, and I have to mention something about Nico's cute drawing of him, Chip and Potato. On it, Potato was drawn as a snuggly in the first and third scenes it appeared in, which is the smart idea, but she's shown as a mouse only on its second scene. Mistake aside, that's the worst scene to have her appear like that in because Little Momma could've seen it and wondered "Why's my daughter and Nico hugging a mouse?".
