For one of the first Mauritian films, it's impressive. Of course the film is predictable and cliché in some ways; and some scenes are too heavy and dramatic while some light moments with more smiles and jokes (such as in the nightclub) would be perfect.
Despite these, the movie remains light with a simple plot and knowing the film industry in Mauritius - which is almost non-existent, and under-considered, Biye Retour puts the bar very, very high. The team was able to find the perfect balance between having a local identity and inspirations from the West.
Good acting, specially for the actors behind Parsad and Doriane.
Congrats to everyone who worked on that film.
