Best episode to ever release, I enjoyed every second of this episode. The animation, pace, EVERYTHING was perfect. I really hope this quality continues.

The best episode of any anime I've ever seen

One year ago I decided to watch One Piece. The reason I didn't watch it before was probably the main reason many people don't watch it in the first place and is its length. +1000 episodes. But let me tell you, it is worth it and i'm not saying that the show only gets better on this episode, it's a great story since the very beginning and there are many special and epic moments that really explains its popularity in Manga and Anime.
But this episode man, I didn't feel that excited and thrilled in a long time watching any show. It only lasted 20 minutes but it will last for ever as one of the best episode of any anime in history. If you read this and haven't watched One Piece, do it! You won't regret this amazing experience.

To all those review bombing this i am disappointed as an anime fan because investing time into watching one piece, the satisfaction of watching luffy's rise , the good and bad times then seeing this episode, which is honestly one of the best, if not the best anime episode of all time, everything about this episode was perfect, the music hit, the animation, the attacks, the emotional moments, demon slayer may have the most beautifully animated episode but this may just be the most complete and best episode to ever drop.

Honestly this was the best episode I've ever seen in an anime. The animation the direction all were a perfect 10/10. Megumi Ishitani and all the other staff that worked on this completely shattered the expectations of the viewers. I really hope we get to see more episodes like this in the future.

I actually stopped watching the anime but had to look at 1015 because of the hype and wow I was not disappointed. It definitely delivered.
The direction of this episode is outstanding. From the chosen artstyle during the parallel scenes or the match cuts to convey the contrast of emotions.. it was just *chef's kiss*
I really love the music as well. And the lack of music. They really know how to make an impact with just the sound or lack of it. From the nostalgic instrumental to simple sound effects of sandals walking on ground with purpose. Awesome.
This episode really elevated the manga chapter. The manga was great too but like this just did a landslide slamdunk. I was concerned how they'll do the backstory panels but yep hit per hit it was done beautifully. I cried in all of the emotional hits but when the backstory panels panned out to us... you may say I'm overreacting but like I just felt the 20 year journey in minutes. The determinations. The will. The dream. The time I spent loving this manga.. everything is worth it.

Ishitani might be the best thing to happen for one piece anime. This is the best episode of one piece that I've watched, hell not just one piece this is one of the best episode of all times and I have watched a lot of anime and shows. This is coming from a manga reader so that's a huge accomplishment for the anime staff. Good direction can make the pacing way better with same amount of content adopted and Ishitani proved it for sure. This chapter was really good but the anime made it one of the best things in one piece which is like going on for twenty three years. Chapter thousand was hype because it was monumental for the manga to reach this milestone and still keeping the same essense it had back when it started. If this episode was this good I can only assume some of the future episodes will break the internet.
First thing's first my favourite scene from the chapter 1000 was Luffy walking past two emperors to check on his friend. And oh boy! Ishitani did it justice. I really wanted the scene to be with no soundtrack just a serious luffy walking past two strongest people in the verse. But not only that every scene was done with so much thought put behind it. Roger and luffy side by side with same dream was so amazingly done, I can't even express how happy I was when the anime made it so obvious with sabo and ace beside oden and wb hearing the same exact words from luffy and roger. Yamato and Ace's chemistry was shown in such a good way by anime. In manga I didn't feel much for yamato and a lot of people were annoyed because of this sudden flashback before the face off but in anime they did such a good job with Yamato's character her va is also crazy. The animation for red roc was just insane. And the best thing was Ace's df in the fire created by red roc. FYI Luffy used to have the fire based attack red hawk based on a bird so this is an upgrade as roc is a mythical bird. The transitions were so smooth I've noticed Ishitani is best at lightning and transitions. The hardest thing I thought for the anime would be to show the flashbacks that Luffy sees in the manga before hitting kaido. They were just quick recap panels and I thought the anime would include a whole flashback but the director chose to show Luffy's POV for all those moments and we actually felt Luffy's emotions because of that.
The hype was real and this episode lived up to it. For the first time I think I can say Toei did an episode better than manga. This is such an emotional journey now that luffy says he will be pirate king he has strength to back up those words. Even though I've heard Luffy say the iconic line thousands of times but it still made me tear up. The soundtrack, the animation, the voice acting and specially the direction everything was perfect. This episode deserves a perfect 10 hands down best episode of the one piece yet.
Edit: All the haters can Review bomb all they want it woudn't change the fact that despite being a weekly show one piece anime is producing episodes that can match quality of some of their favourite weekly shows. This childish negative ratings using fake accounts is not going to change anything. I've watched all the goated shows like aot and demon slayer and there is no need for comparison but some of these kids just won't understand this basic fact that your hateful reviews and ratings will only draw more negativity towards your favorite anime. One piece fans rarely do these things most of the reviews using op names are fake. Most of the op fans are adults in thier 20s and 30s they have better things to do. I'd wish imdb ban these fake ratings so we can have genuine ratings for this legendary episode.

Yeah, this is my favorite episode I've ever watched in anime. Especially since this episode was hyped for long supposedly and I had no idea and I am also anime only enjoyer. So I was even In more shock. I dont think I've never been this hyped for any kinda show. I even got goosebumps and shed a tear at the Roger Luffy moment. And to the end I just tought the episode is gonna end with them standing in front each other,So yeah you can imagine my hype. This was just Amazing. Can't wait for future episodes and what one piece has in store for us.

This episode was just pure masterful. We Are instrumental, Yamato's theme, Oden's theme, Whitebeard's theme along with the stunning and beautiful animation. Credits to the director Megumi Ishitani, masterful work done with this episode. Great added scenes, Luffy and Roger parallel, Scabbards parallel, Luffy's dream, worst generation entrance, Luffy's walk, Yamato and ace...One Piece is too good. I was smiling the entire time (except for the sad/emotional moments). The animation, music, lighting, pacing, all of it was done exceptionally well. Even the fillers were implemented very well. On top of that, it's the adaptation of chapter 1000, making the episode even more monumental.
Though it's frustrating since this was supposed to be the first 10-star episode in one piece, let's all try to disregard the 1-stars from review bombers and refrain from attacking back.

nearly 25 years of buildup, a perfect episode

To put it simply: this episode was REALLY good.
The animation, voice acting, storyboard, cinematography, music, effects, lighting, pacing, and characterisation was all on point. This really is peak One Piece anime. Yamato's flashback was emotional and beautiful, and the confirmation of Luffy's and Roger's wishes aligning was brilliantly handled, with great visual representation of Yamato's realisation. The expanded scene of her rebelling against Kaido was great, and overall elevated his/her character even better than the manga.
The even juicier stuff was in the second half of the episode. The Worst Generation facing off against Kaido and Big Mom was a highly anticipated moment, with buildup spanning literally HUNDREDS of episodes. Luffy's promise to Kin'emon was emotional, and a great callback to Arlong Park and his promise to Nami, over 2 decades ago. Kojima's animation during the punch was INSANE, going beyond even the kind of animation seen in anime movies. The flashbacks through the final scene of the episode were beautiful, with amazing music behind them - but the punch, with "We Are", was the true highlight.

Once it was announced Megumi Ishitani would be directing this milestone episode, we al knew it was going to be amazing, but MY GOD, it exceeded absolutely everyone's expectations. It was truly incredible. This is the sort of adaptation One Piece deserves! Loved every second of it!

I had for a whole 20 min goosebumps. Everything lined up perfectly. The animation wat top, plot was top, ending scene too. Nothing more I can say
Would have got an 10/10 overall but there are too many aot haters I guess.

Everything was elevated to another level from the source material which was also good.
One of the best directed anime episode of all time IMO.

This episode is just amazing with every word and every second you watch , its a title of perfection in the anime world, the animations and moves was perfect, i just say it this arc is on fire and this episode is the beginning.
