I may be in the minority but I actually liked this episode. I even watched it twice. It was different funny and I enjoyed watching it. A change of pace is good once in a while this one sure has caught everyone off guard though, sorry it got such bad reviews.

I don't know who thought of the idea to write this script for what is generally a fine series but it missed the mark by a mile. Silly plot about hallucinating staff. Come on writers you're better than this. Let's hope it isn't another fall into decline of what has usually been an outstanding show.?

Come on, this episode was refreshing and funny! Does it have to be a drama that makes us cry all the time? You've gotta take a break every once in a while. Great try for fun! We get to see actors act differently from themselves, and they did a great job! This one made me giggle out loud.

This episode, although absurd, was actually really good!! It was a nice change of pace and I think every once in awhile, it's fun to have FUN with a script. Not everything has to be so serious and on point to enjoy it. It's good to smile and laugh at the absurdity than, it is to diss it and be like, "oh no, this show is over because, it's too far fetched!!" kind of mentality. This scenario COULD actually happen!! It's not unreasonable to think that it could, by any means, either. There are MANY mistakes that human beings make on a daily basis and, I'm sure that "once upon a time", there was a mass drugging at some sort of food and/or drink event that, the producers and directors of this episode drew inspiration from.

(S5. E14) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 14 ''Potluck''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. What is going on? Did someone poison the food? Almost everyone probably consumed food that had drugs in it, that's a pretty unique plot idea. Alex and Asher dancing and singing was funny. Dr. Andrews wants to climb the wall like Spiderman? Lol. The question is who poisoned the food? Ok so it was Asher but it was an accident. This episode was pretty different from all the other episodes in a good way. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

...when the crew of the Enterprise is afflicted with something that causes them to present as intoxicated? "The Naked Now", it was titled. Yeah, that wasn't one of the better ones either. You never really buy into the premise that the characters would behave in so foolish a manner as the result of a food borne contaminant. That leaves you with just a series of badly acted scenes played for cheap comic effect. The plot is spurious. My guess, the mail carrier mis-delivered a script for 9-1-1 to the set of The Good Doctor, and no one noticed.

This exact storyline has already been done by both Grey's Anatomy and Star Trek. Neither of those episodes won any awards either.

A ludicrous story and flagrantly disrespectful to the audience, perhaps the writers got hallucinatory food-poisoning!
I have loved this show throughout (one of very few 10*) it is now consuming its own legacy as if an outraged ouroboros.
The worst of 90 episodes by some margin.

Far below the usual high quality of this show. Very disappointed. I can't believe they put this tripe on the air. Desperation time. Get back to the plots that have relevance. Even the shows with the greedy ew owner who didn't care about patient care were better. And I thought those were pretty bad.

This episode is by far the worst. Pretty hard, when the last two were abysmal. The whole first part of the season was ruined by Salem. Now an episode of literal craziness. The actors should have been embarrassed to be part of this fiasco. Cancel the show. It has lost its way.

When this series appeared, I loved the innocence of it and the various struggles of Dr Murphy with his being on the spectrum and his human actions and struggles with interpersonal relationships. Now, it has turned into another dating scene and this episode was ruined by what I witnessed at the end of the show. I'll not be watching another episode. Sorry. I didn't tune into this show to get this sort of Hollywood writing on my large screen TV.

I never write reviews but after this atrocity I can't help it... I know I'm not the only one, I've read the other reviews and know that objectively the show's quality has been declining since they killed off Melendez. The pandemic episodes were also cringe-worthy... Then Claire was gone... Then that Salen character ruined anything good that was left of it! What a disappointment! I agree with a previous person who wrote they should cancel the show. But as I've seen it's already been renewed for a 7th(!) season....
So why do I keep watching one would wonder. I wonder the same thing every time I start an episode and end up fast forwarding the scenes with Shaun and Lea's sex life or their wedding or when they fight or when Lea has a rant... This episode was by far the worst so far! And if I've learned anything while watching this, I know there probably will be more bad episodes even ones worse than this one.
