review bombers are literally obsessed

How nostalgia blind do you have to be to constantly give 1 stars to a cartoon you watched as a kid and stopped caring about years ago. At least watch the episode. I don't get who would care this much to review bomb spongebob of all shows. Like what did this yellow sponge do to you?

Anyways Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah was amazing! Definitely one of the best episodes this season. It is nice to have spongebob's parents have a proper major role, i like the premise of spongebob trying to act mature and adult to impress but they want to go out and do crazy things yet spongebob still pretends to be a mature it's really funny. Alot of good jokes here

yellow pavement is alright. Not a COMPLETE knock off of boat smarts but it is similar. But it does enough funny things to stand out. Mostly with the ending which was really good. I do prefer boat smarts but this episode was still a fun time.

First segment was great, second segment is way better than I expected, but just good.

Warning: Spoilers
Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah was great. It was a very fun, creative, wholesome and unique episode. It's definitely worth watching, because not only is it funny, but the ending is a perfect example of SpongeBob being angry in post-sequel, and the ending overall was excellent. There was some good dialogue and great animation, and I can't see anyone giving this less than a 5/10.´

Then there's Yellow Pavement, which hasn't aired yet, but from the scenes that have been leaked and the promos, it looks very average. All I know is it will be the first episode I will call a real rip-off, unless there's some kind of twist, but I have watched enough to say that there isn't already. Boat Smarts was a really bad episode, but season 5 was a lot worse than season 13, so I hope this one's just a better version. The clips I've watched were just average. They have some (most likely unfair) Squidward torture and only one good joke so far, but that doesn't mean the episode itself will be bad.

But yeah, it could be bad.

Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah: 8/10 Yellow Pavement: ?/10 (I predict a 5/10) Rating: 8/10 Final rating prediction: 6.5/10 -> 7/10.

Update: My prediction didn't age well, here's my Yellow Pavement review:

Yellow Pavement is a very obvious rehash of the (in my opinion) bad episode of season 5 Boat Smarts, and it has lots of unfair Squidward torture, plus SpongeBob acts a bit flanderized (not as flanderized as in Boat Smarts, but still flanderized).

Now, you would expect me to say this is a really bad episode, and that's why I had to update this, BUT NO!

Yellow Pavement starts with Mrs. Puff introducing the boating film (and reveals her first name, but that doesn't change my opinion on the episode) and SpongeBob crashing with a wall.

Then, you have this scene from Boat Smarts with SpongeBob and Squidward checking their boat mobiles, except it's actually funny imo. This is the most rip-off scene of the episode by far though.

This episode also reminds me of Krusty Krab Training Video, mostly because of SpongeBob's "Can I get my license now?" and the narrator (Mrs. Puff this time) saying "No!"

After this, Squidward tries to enter traffic, but SpongeBob "unexpectedly" crashes with him, and launches him to a hot dog ad. SpongeBob keeps asking if he can get his license.

Now, you have Squidward dodging pedestrians. It has a couple of funny jokes, and the way SpongeBob bothers him is actually funny and creative here. I didn't care about the "strong old lady" joke, because it's just overused at this point, but didn't get much screen time anyways. SpongeBob asks the same again.

Then you have Squidward reading traffic signals, and I think all the jokes in this scene are funny, which is pretty good.

After this, you have a part of the film about being a good passenger, with SpongeBob being Squidward's passenger. SpongeBob says that Mrs. Puff told him that he would get his license after the boating film, which is actually important at the end of the episode. SpongeBob keeps bothering Squidward, so Squidward puts him in the back seat. Then Mrs. Puff mentions being a bad seat driver, and SpongeBob starts using Squidward's head as a steering wheel. After that, SpongeBob starts playing with the boat's buttons, we get another couple of good jokes, and Squidward gets angry at him and puts him in the boat's drawer.

Squidward is very angry, and Mrs. Puff starts talking about road rage. Patrick passes Squidward, making him even more angry. Then Mrs. Puff says that when you are angry on the road, you should remember the word "RAGE" (Relax And Go Elsewhere!).

SpongeBob tries to relax Squidward, but they both relax a bit too much, and cause traffic jam. A huge driver goes to Squidward's boat, grabs him, and gets prepared to punch him but...

THE TAPE STARTS BURNING BEFORE HE GETS HIT! AND WE HAVE TWO AND A HALF MINUTES LEFT!

Mrs. Puff says that it was just getting to the good part, and that they will have to end the class. All the students are happy, except for SpongeBob, because that means he won't get his license. But the other students are also happy about that. Then SpongeBob says he will continue the film and the students boo him, but SpongeBob does it anyways. SpongeBob uses puppets to continue the film, and shows how he gets his license and uses his boat for world peace, and stops icebergs from melting, etc. It's a very funny scene imo.

Mrs. Puff stops him, and tells the students to go home. Then she stops SpongeBob from going home with his license just before he leaves the class.

Overall, it's just a good episode, but I still wanted to make a more elaborate review on it, because it's an episode that really surprised me.

Lost it at the Slammy Crushington wannabes *updated with Yellow Pavement*

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not gonna be making very many friends when I say I really don't like this episode. It's not because I'm "a hater of all modern SpongeBob episodes", it's because this episode is just not of good quality. This episode takes plot points from Rock-a Bye Bivalve (the "where were you" confrontation), Krusty Krushers (the wrestling part of this episode), and Grandma's Kisses (SpongeBob trying to act mature for his parents). When combined, it makes for a poor episode with good animation and a return of Margaret and Harold SquarePants. There are some... okay jokes? But when someone in the main audience of this show (I'm a teenager, technically a child) isn't laughing, there's probably an issue.

This episode has an alright beginning. I liked the creativity of the catalyst for SB's parents to end up moving in. It also has some very nice animation of SpongeBob cleaning his house because it's "filthy", and Patrick randomly appearing was cute. After this however, the episode goes downhill by a longshot. Margaret and Harold are revealed to be very wild and has a bit of a role reversal when SpongeBob starts acting grownup. Now, don't get me wrong, but his voice when he's "mature" gets annoying quick.

I like this idea, but the execution is honestly really sour in the long run.

Now, about the wrestling part... I'm removing all of my biases from my favorite Brandy & Mr. Whiskers episode Big Girls Don't Body Slam, but my god does this episode feel really freakin' weird during this segment. It felt like it came out of nowhere, at least Krusty Krushers had a backbone. Whenever Margaret and Harold went to wrestle, the animation was really good! When SpongeBob went, the animation was also really good. But this time included more goofiness, the peanut... whatever thing they were going for ws funny. Also, why didn't Patrick use his iron butt when he was wrestling?

I'm not saying I wish it was exactly like Big Girls Don't Body Slam, buuuuut... it could've been better. The best part of the episode though.

The rest of the episode is pretty much something you could lump together as boring, bleh, or both. The ending is also a slap in the face as to everything that went on in this episode, except with another role reversal. If only it was handled well in the actual episode we just watched...

Moving on, Yellow Pavement is... awful. For one, this episode is a ripoff of Boat Smarts from season 5, but now it's 11 minutes. I'm not sugarcoating it when I say this episode made me mad. Squidward didn't do a single thing in this episode, but gets tortured. It's just like Boat Smarts, but SpongeBob is debately less annoying in Yellow Pavement.

This concept is super creative, however the execution makes it unenjoyable. Similar to PPG 2016's episode The Trouble With Bubbles (why did I just mention this show), the ending swaps animation styles, which carried this episode like Brandy saving Whiskers for the 1482th time. The last 3 minutes or so of this episode is really good.

Like I said earlier, SpongeBob is way less annoying in this episode than Boat Smarts. In this episode, they at least portray him as the bad driver, Squidward gets hurt due to distraction from SB. SB in the end actually calms Squidward down by using R. A. G. E (Relax And Go Elsewhere). Which is short lived because of traffic.

If that last bit wasn't there, this would've been a 2, but it's a 4. Average of scores is 3.5/10.

A Double Victory

Warning: Spoilers
Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah: A hilarious and relatable episode. My parents can be just like Margaret and Harold as they are not afraid to let loose despite their age. Heck, even my grandparents act that way sometimes! You can't let age fool you into thinking someone is too old for something.

Yellow Pavement: A better version of Boat Smarts and one I was laughing at nonstop! True, SpongeBob is a tad annoying due to constantly asking for his license, but this is SpongeBob we're talking about. Also, despite the Squidward torture, it's still better than Boat Smarts. Plus, we finally learn Mrs. Puff's first name! It's Penelope!
