For its first half, this episode seems to be bog standard, done-to-death story lines:Paul blackmails Lyn, Lyn tries to big him up to Rebecca, it doesn't work, Paul takes it out on Lyn and threatens retribution. Not particularly interesting and, even taking out how deluded Paul is, it's obvious that Lyn would be better of telling the truth. And then...she does. Not the whole truth but enough to get Rebecca helping her.Which means things are now even more complicated but it's a nice twist on the idea.
Andrew and Summer as star-crossed lovers, not so much. It's hard to cheer for a pair of cheats who don't really have any chemistry to speak of, no matter how shallow they try to make Tasha, especially when we're seen the hints of how insecure she really is underneath it.And she does tell Summer she's not to blame for the fire, when Summer got off fairly lightly compared to Tasha and the two people closest to her. When Andrew says Summer would never hurt Tasha, it's hard not to cringe.
