Though in modern dress, SINDERELLA & ME captures the spirit of a fairy tale, directed with a light touch by pornographer Nica Noelle. I was impressed with the casting as well as her low- budget ingenuity.

After a full 20 minutes of exposition and character build-up, Nica provides the first requisite sex vignette with quite unusual trick casting, tapping her talent pool developed directing scores of lesbian videos. Instead of ugly, Sindy's two step-sisters are tombois, wonderfully portrayed by fast-talking dom Dylan Ryan and androgynous fetish video star Jiz Lee.
The dynamic short-haired duo is getting ready to go to wealthy bachelor Manuel Ferrara's ball when they find Sindy in a dress stolen from Jiz's closet by Wolf, along with a string of pearls. The hellcats go wild and put our protagonists in bondage, at first forcing Sindy to watch as they tag-team hump Wolf, before letting her go. It's a strange gender-bending sex scene which reveals the versatility of these performers, and also reveals that Dylan's stubby nipples can be a turn-on beyond her usual kinky audience.
Despondent Sindy is left alone with her pet rat Seth (a scene-stealer on the order of Willard or Ben) when Seth magically turns into her fairy godmother, Sweet Sinner non-sex regular deLUXE. With too much eye makeup as her key to characterization, the Big Mama gives Sindy plenty of tips and magically creates a beautiful white gown for her, stylish hairdo and white pumps (no glass slippers) and converts her roller skates into a (not shown) Mercedes for transportation. All with the proviso to watch that clock at the party and get home in time.
Party has several unidentified femme extras, who stumped me in the usual "name that player" lack of screen credits for actors who don't hump. Allie's striking beauty at the party easily wins the attention of Manuel, and script has a nice switch - instead of being a Prince Charming, he's crass, immediately propositioning her with "I need to know if you can satisfy me" before he will waste time on the girl.

After receiving a sloppy facial, she realizes she's behind schedule and rushes off, leaving one white shoe behind and only her roller skates for transportation.

Hooked up with Manuel, love doesn't run smooth for Sindy, as she's immediately henpecking the guy, and really gets steamed when she overhears on the phone that he's too-timing her several times a week with Darla. Sindy decides to split, and returning home finds Wolf taking care of Seth. Their romantic reunion and happy-ever-after finish is charmingly written and directed by Nica, who invested both wit and sincerity in this offbeat version of the tale, more pastiche than parody.
