This film is boring as hell. These are the WORST actors I've seen in quite some time. Its like someone was making this for a high school project and had to put his girlfriend and buddies in it. Must not have had a budget because the makeup is terrible. As for being scary? I laughed most of the time. My suggestion for the makers and actors of this film....find a new line of work

how does this have a 6.4 we will never know. I think people are voting on the other movie apparition and not paying attention to the year or image. I feel it is my duty to let you all know this movie is awful. Even for someone who loves B Flicks. I myself am a fan of evil dead, feast, video drone, hobo with a shotgun. This looks like someones first attempt on a movie for a school project and they just wanted a passing grade. Terrible acting, bad sound quality and editing. Extremely boring and not scary what so ever. I cannot bash this movie enough. I am required to write at least 10 lines bashing this movie. I hope this review casts some light on this terrible terrible toilet paper film.
In which ghost hunters find a whole lot of boredom

Warning: Spoilers
APPARITION is an extremely boring addition to the found footage genre of horror film-making. Once again the plot is about a group of ghost hunters who travel to an abandoned location - here an old hospital - in order to investigate a case of possible haunting. Once on site they find themselves menaced by an unknown presence but, trust me, the experience is a lot more enjoyable for them than the viewer.
For some reason this is shot in tinted black and white to give it an even more low fi look. There's no action, no incident, no reason for the film to take place at all, just a great deal of scene setting with no actual pay off. Add in the usual wooden performances and you do have to wonder what the point is to all this.

Good Mix of Suspense and Comedy
derekvaughn-editor-330-9493382 November 2015
This dogma type, documentary narrative has suspense going for it. If you're a fan of "Audition" (Takashi Miike) or "Kingdom Hospital" (Lars von Trier), you'll appreciate the blending of suspense and comedy as the main characters themselves become of the architect of their own demise by they're own hustle. Jokes such as sophisticated equipment, like an Atari joystick, as they hunt for ghosts only add to the Troma level of fun until everything flips on a dime and the narrative becomes unreliable and the viewer does not know what is real and what is not. At times "Apparition" is a straight forward parody of "Ghost Hunters", or a bending of the genre. At others it is profound as it uncovers what honest people will do to make money based on belief.
