Video title "Ghost Stories: Following the Dead"
1st watched 7/23/2021 - (Dir-Dan T. Hall):
Fourth "Ghost Stories" entry from Dan T. Hall actually annoyed me more than the 2nd and 3rd films. Only three sites in Indiana were visited this time, and he used less fast-forwarding photography but loves trying to scare us with presenting what looks like scary footage over and over again, and this time adding knocking sounds to the soundtrack(wow! Definetly trying too hard!). As I've said in the other two, he needs to present these stories without the effects and let the viewer make a decision. If you want to make a documentary, let it be so instead of using tactics of a fiction title to fake us out. The spots include a railroad haunting, a look at the home of a serial killer named H. H. Holmes, and a third one in the middle that I don't remember much about. I tried focusing of the investigations, but I constantly got bothered by the editing where the filmmaker tries to duke you into believing. I can't say whether ghosts exist or not, but I can say these films have not really helped their cause in the state of Indiana. Unfortunately, there is another of these I haven't seen that is on my agenda...maybe it will be better? Who knows?
