A decidedly low budget movie about life, love, the nature and genesis of friendships, and dying on one's own terms, this movie is like the little engine that could. It chugs along, quietly winning film festivals everywhere it plays, and it displays a quiet beauty that evokes the best of Terrence Malik. Utilizing stunning locations from Michigan all the way to the salt flats of Utah (and everywhere in between) David Marek does the best he can with the resources he has been given and has created a charming, wonderful meditation on life. This movie deserves high marks and I could have given it even higher marks, but some of the dialog and acting are a little clunky but this is as decent a debut film as you'll find anywhere.

We tend to like Indie films and this one was very special. As it has been said, the journey is the destination and this film takes a deep look at love, friendship and our collective humanity as we reach the end of the road. Highly recommended if you like films that cause you to sit back and reflect.
