This man has an amazingly civil and bold, yet sensitively entertaining sense of humor.

I am betting that it can't be beat. I have read and listened to many writers and this one, had my full attention. The comments included in his review caused me to look back and try to reread the reviews. I'm glad that I did!

The story that Matt has to tell is so real and so witty that you feel like you're at one of the tables and watching around the club, just waiting for one of the characters to incite a full applause!

I almost missed this clever story and caught it, Just in time to share in the fun!

Entertaining is definitely the 'right word' to describe this handsome entertainer and I will definitely be following his narratives to enjoy the story lines .

I'm amazed at the bad reviews. I recently came across Matt on YT shorts (random suggestions as I like stand-up comedy) and his bits were always so funny that prompt me to search more about him. The man has a fantastic crowd work, and his take on things are fresh and incredibly funny. Gorgeous looking but humble and sweet, and way too wise for his years. He is only 24, and I can't imagine being that confident to approach the topics he does in the way he does. I have watched the special and tons of other things he did, and the man is hilarious. The special is a raw, low budget production and I loved the material. I watch him not for his looks (don't hurt thou) but because he makes me laugh, every single time. So for those vultures downvoting, you are pathetic. All his shows are all sold out, and even in London where I live, tickets have gone faster than I could get one. Downvote all you want, but his tour success proves you wrong. Go Matt, and please add more shows to London or come back soon!

Dont waste your time. Unfunny Comedian Matt Rife performs his debut Hour Comedy Special that is a culmination of his first ten years of doing standup comedy. Taken him ten years and still doesnt have any jokes worse than brendan schuab.

I think the hate is from men who are unattractive and jealous of how hot he is. But Matt rife is so funny and fine asf, loved every minute. Hope he does more in the future.

The narrative was that he was doing stand up show that was funny but it was probably one of the worst I have ever seen. Don't waste your time. Alot of of new stand up comics suck but this guy takes the cake.

Hilarious, Poingnant, Humble, Witty

The bad reviews are very strange. Perhaps he has some enemies out there or some jealous anti-fans because he is witty, mad-talented, and and also model-good looking.

This young comedian is not afraid to cover controversial topics, and does so incredibly well. His crowd work is top-notch. His jokes are hilarious but also promote introspection.

A lot of his content or "politics" cover the modern day's over-use of "cancel-culture", and how to step around that. He roasts all, but also often elevates and empowers the ones he is roasting.

He points out the ridiculous stuff in today's world but also promotes compassion and kindness. I hope his career soars, and as it does he can keep his charm and humility.

But Matt Rife... I dunno. He doesnt have "it". Also people say he "only had 10 years". Lol. First of all, he had more, second of all, these are the SAME stories hes been telling for 10 years and had time to update. And most of all. WTH? Not to mention many comics come out with ALL NEW material each year. This guy already had the material or most of it, was surrounded by people in the business and had 10 years to work on it. Even if it was supposedly too little time we would see the funny inbetween. A little bit here, a funny line there, a original thing there. Time would only affect delivery and structure, not ability of being funny. So stop with the excuses . And hopefully people wont encourage him more the guy is awful at standup. He's brave for trying. Not Ready for a special.

I had no idea who this guy was until about an hour ago. I was actually quite impressed. Matt navigates the complexities of talking and joking about some of American society's most taboo subjects like a boss. He's unapologetically himself and displays his comedic prowess for all to see. Flaws and all.

At first glance, you'd probably have no difficulty passing on this. You'd also be forgiven for thinking he wouldn't be funny just by looking at him. He's got that typical young, frat boy look about him. I mean he seriously looks like he'd be more comfortable in a Calvin Klein underwear ad than on stage doing stand up. Let's just say he's probably not having any trouble find eligible bachelorettes.

But despite his good looks, he's a truly funny dude with some good moral fiber. I certainly look forward to watching more of him.

I already knew Matt Rife from tiktok and really liked his jokes on there. However I decided to finally watch a full show and was greatly disappointed. He first goes on about how attractive he is, follows up by priding himself to never judge a book by its cover and ends with the 'joke' that virgins shouldn't be allowed to have guns because they are ugly? Maybe it's just me but this was just really uncomfortable to watch... It made me feel like a was watching a bully boast about his looks and beating others down because of their looks.

There were certain jokes that were actually funny but not after going through all the bad ones.

Worst stand-up special ever?

I was shocked at the lameness of this special. Was it supposed to be funny? From what I can tell Matt Rife is a young comic on steroids who panders to mondern day political correctness. The best comics are never p.c. He tries to inspire white guilt in some members of the audience while "talking street" or eubonics to the black people in the front row. He asks the white audience "How does it feel to sit in the back?" A reference to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, that occurred in 1955. No black person in that audience has ever had to give up their seat on a bus to a white person. What is he even talking about? Avoid this special like the plague.

Absolute Trash

This is absolutely crude trash. Being funny doesn't require being trashy and rude - or making people feel less than. There are real comedians out there who don't make being rude a regular part of their routines. On top of that, his jokes were irrelevant but banked on using controversial topics, illnesses, and diseases to score points with the audience and get some laughs. I won't post the jokes here to avoid any spoilers, but if you're sensitive you have an additional reason not to watch this filth. One of the worst comedians ever. Might be like an Andrew Tate of comedy crossed with a failed comics.

What did I just watch? Like what the hell was this supposed to be? Was this one of those "Make a Wish" shows where they gifted a dying kid a comedy special and gave him a microphone? This guy looks like justin beibers chubby younger brother. He's got the personality of a plain bagel.

I've never heard of Matt Rife before tonight. That was the longest hour of comedy I have ever experienced. Perhaps he said something comedic when I went to the bathroom or let the dogs out or was playing solitaire. He's that person at a friend's house who's funny as hell, but isn't even ready for amateur night. You know - living room funny.

I found this dude on TikTok a while back and then stumbled on this special on YouTube shortly after it came out. I think he's one of the funniest new stand-up comics around. Stand-Up comedy felt pretty dry for a while. Last Comic Standing was putting out some quality comics for a while but nobody that makes me laugh like this guy. I like that he does great crowd work but without the Andrew Schulz level of straight up insulting. Matt Rife builds a whole bit around the crowd work. I also feel like I don't hear repetition in his jokes and he's not some one trick pony that focuses on the same stuff again and again. I hope he blows up and we get more from him!

So, was this supposed to be a comedy special? Where were the jokes? It's just some hick telling long ass stories about how good looking he is.

I think in order to be a successful standup comic, you have to have wit, charisma, intelligence and charm. Unfortunately, Matt Rife doesn't have any of those qualities.

There is no other way to explain giving such a below average talent a special except that it was on youtube. Truly awful. Possibly the worst stand up ever.
