He's back!!! Loved it.

Toast is up for a big part in Hollywood, a career changing role, there's a , he's up against old for Ray Purchase.

Toast has certainly become very angry since switching from Channel four to BBC1, on that note, I was worried that something would have gone wrong in the switch, but no evidence here.

A very funny start, I really enjoyed this, very funny, some great lines, and just amazing to see all the old faces back, as well as some new.

As barmy and surreal as ever, and how good is it to hear the words Clem Fandango again. That fight scene was joyous.

Kayvan Novak clearly enjoys working with Berry, he was so good here as the wonderfully named Des Wigwam.

This was a real treat, 9/10.

Anger Man

Steven Toast is back, changed channels and angry.

Toast has acquired a reputation of flying off the handle.

He gets really angry when he loses an acting job in Hollywood to long term rival Ray Purchase.

Toast has no option but to get anger management therapy from Des Wigwam (Kayvan Novak) because he is two tents.

After the therapy, Toast is overcome with guilt and apologise to everyone. Toast tells Ray Purchase just what a naughty boy he has been.

A very enjoyable first episode with lots of humour. There is a cameo from Larry David.

Given Matt Berry has been working a lot in Hollywood lately. Berry teams up with Novak his fellow vampire in What we do in the Shadows.

Then there is the little matter of Berry appearing in that Boba Fett series. That is a big clue to the role that takes Toast to Hollywood.

Okay, but not of the same quality as Toast of London

Steven Toast is still a struggling actor, doing voice-over work between gigs to get by. He is in the running to star in a big Hollywood film but loses out to his nemesis, Ray Purchase. Apparently his well-known anger issues lost him the role. This convinces him to check into an anger management retreat.

I loved Toast of London. Matt Berry, as Toast, was in top form and the series was hilariously funny, in an absurdist, often dark sort of way. There was some wonderfully over-the-top plots and Berry was superb as Toast, making Toast quite the eccentric.

This series picks up where that left off and starts well enough with my favourite recurring scene of Toast of London, the voice-over skit with Clem Fandango. Here we have the added bonus of the appearance of Larry David as an American conspiracy theory-writer. David doesn't disappoint, channelling his Curb Your Enthusiasm Larry David into the role with hilarious results.

However, this turns out to be the highpoint of the episode. The remainder is a bit flat and not as clever or funny as Toast of London. It's still okay, just not in the same league as Toast of London which, admittedly, is a tough act to follow.

Kayvan Novak, of Facejacker and What We Do in the Shadows Fame, is great as the anger management guru and Fred Armisen, of Portlandia and SNL fame, makes a brief appearance towards the end.

Toast has popped up again!

I was worried at first that the new premise might ruin the show, but it hasn't at all. Just as surreal and funny as the first 3 series. Lovely to see Ray bloody Purchase back, and the Larry David cameo just was fantastic.

Hilarious

Just as ridiculous and hilarious as before! The absurdism humor is top-notch, and the cast is as wonderful as ever.

The show hasn't lost its touch at all (in fact, I'd say it's even better than ever).

Toast is back and better than ever!

The characters we all know and love are back at it again. This episode is all about Steven getting his anger under control thanks to a referral from his old nemesis Ray bloody Purchase!

It's great seeing all of our favorite crazy named characters back on the screen again, except this time Steven is going to Tinseltown because he has been offered a starring role in the new Star Wars motion picturrrre!

(Oh... right)

Warning: Spoilers
I was so glad to have this show back even in a slightly different capacity. I feel like they got a lot of the early items out of the way and set things up for a new show set across the pond in Los Angeles.

The Larry David appearance got some publicity I am sure, but it seemed more awkward than funny. I think they simply thought him shouting at Toast would work, but it did not.

A fitting end to the Toast/Ray Purchase feud (maybe not lol) and a good start to the new series. Hopefully it is better than Season 3 was. Just glad to have another Matt Berry series back on TV. Hopefully they do not go too heavy on the guest stars though, as it seems like they might be doing.

How the hell has this happened?

I absolutely loved the first 3series of Toast and was gutted when the series ended. I still watch them regularly and was thrilled when I heard the series was making a return albeit in a slightly different format and T V channel.

I am sat here watching the first episode of toast of Tinseltown and I haven't laughed once. God awful totally forced and unfunny Please god it improves in episode 2.

A crushing disappointment.
