This was another good episode that focused entirely on the dreams of the four main characters. Inosuke and zenitsu's dreams are more lighthearted, while Rengoku and Tanjiro's dreams are more serious. This series always does a great job of mixing serious moments and comedy.
We start off with zenitsu's dream. His fantasies finally come true and he is able to spend time with his demon crush. Good for him, I suppose.
Then we have inosuke's dream... and I honestly have no idea what the hell was going on. All I know is that it's exactly what I imagine inosuke's dreams to look like. The dude wears boar skin, what else do you expect from him?
Rengoku's dream is more serious and develops his character some more. He tells his dad that he became a hashira, and his dad tells him that doesn't mean anything and that he's still worthless anyways. Then an older version of Rengoku tells him that it doesn't matter what his dad thinks as long as he's happy. I really liked the message that others' opinions shouldn't bring you down, it really fits Rengoku's personality.
Then we get to Tanjiro's dream, which was the best part of the episode, because it developed his character a lot. Tanjiro has always been sad about his family's death, but in this episode, he finally realizes that it's time to move on, and that he would rather be with his friends than stay with his family in a dream. I liked Tanjiro's decision to leave his family because it shows how much cares about his friends. It was very bittersweet.
I also loved the ending of the episode where Tanjiro is forced to slice his own neck. Gory but great!
