It was a watch for sure

Warning: Spoilers
It was an intense drama filled with unexpected twists. The story keeps you on your toes with its unpredictable developments and standout performances, especially by Liz Fenning. Visually, the cinematography is impressive, adding to the immersive experience. The film's complex plot might seem a bit convoluted at times, but it keeps you engaged and thinking long after it ends. If you're into psychological thrillers that stray from the typical formula, this one is definitely worth checking out. It's a gripping, thought-provoking ride that stays with you. It manages to stay fresh and intriguing, making it a memorable addition to the genre.

A Mess

Warning: Spoilers
This has got to be one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. The plot was abysmal. The acting, if you could call it that, was even worse. I do not know how people get money to write, produce or direct such garbage.

The dumb plot: man is cheating on his wife & gets mistress pregnant. Wife finds out and asks for divorce. Oh yeah, she just found out she couldn't have children. It goes even further downhill from there. Long story short, ex wife has a dr kill the new wife so she can get her ex-husband back and get the son.

Then, the mistress/new wife's twin sister shows up after she is dead and starts sleeping with her sister's man. Just garbage.

Saw it on Tubi

Warning: Spoilers
This has to be one of the worst movies I have seen this year. The wife cannot get pregnant. The husband has an affair and leaves the wife who proceeds to plan revenge. She kills the mistress who btw has had a baby with the husband. Months later he gets back with the wife but the mistress is resurrected when her twin shows up and the husband becomes friends with her. The movie is so predictable with poor acting by the lead man. I wouldn't recommend wasting time watching this film unless you have nothing better to do. It has to be a made for television film and probably not USA. Overall there are much better films to watch.

What I loved most about this film was how it evoked memories of one of my all-time favorites, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle." Writer and director Yara Estrada Lowe masterfully blends elements of suspense and psychological intrigue, crafting a modern-day, more seductive thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. With its captivating storyline and intense performances, this movie promises an unforgettable cinematic experience that's perfect for a thrilling night in with your significant other. Even better, the movie grows on you with each viewing, revealing new layers and nuances that make it even more compelling the second or third time around.

A spicy dramatic tale
oliviaabuela13 June 2024
I love a good date night movie with lies, deceit and lots of twists and turns. If you do too you will love this movie. This is the directorial debut for Yara Estrada Lowe and she does a terrific job. She captures the genre perfectly and gives us a spicy dramatic tale. She also wrote this movie which is all the more impressive. It moves along at a nice pace and has just the right amount of suspense and twists. The cast is great lead by Carlo Mendez who gives a great performance. Without giving anything away he really had me wondering if his character was a nice guy who was confused or just a womanizing jerk. Liz Fenning and Crystal Hernandez are also very strong as the female leads. I recommend this movie and can't wait to see what Yara does next.

A film that makes you uncomfortable in a good way.

Demise is a movie that makes you uncomfortable in a good way. I found it compelling, shocking and a well oiled emotional train wreck you can't look away from. I found the acting fantastic, especially that of Liz Fenning, the actress who played Celine. I was invested in the story from beginning till end and found this not so typical complicated love story to be sexy, edgy and realistic. Demise is not your average cookie cutter romantic thriller and that's what sets it apart and makes it good. I thought direction was great, the cast, music. All of which bundled together in superb editing makes "Demise" a psychological rollercoaster that is unforgettable.
